I agree with @Geofranco tbh.

I think the lack of explosive pace or agility will have his ceiling as a balon d’or finalist. Mbappe, Yamal and Haaland will be around for pretty much all of his prime and the former and latter aren’t going anywhere.

Then again if Arsenal were to win a treble or a league/UCL double with him as our best player then I guess he would win it.

I didn't mean necessarily win it but someone who would hit top 5 ranking based on his top level that we saw at the start of last season.

If he had serious pace it would be lights out.

Yeah he's arguably the best RW in the world when playing regularly. Between him, Yamal and Olise anyway unless I'm missing someone obvious.

Just those pesky injuries. I don't even want to think of Saka with Martinelli pace, it would just be unfair

We still gotta show respect to Salah. Yeah, he is semi-washed, but seven years of high quality shouldn't be discounted.

Ofc, I’m just discounting him in the right now convos as it appears his time at the top is over.

I was the one telling people on here to chill over the last couple of seasons while A-M were in a rush to christen Saka as being better than him.

I think this season is probably time for the new guard to take over though.

He has been disappointing this season. If we really want to tell ourselves that he is one of the best wingers in the world i think we should demand way more from him than he is giving us so far this season.

What’s his xA v actual assists for the season looking like?

Here are the top xA stats v assist in the PL:

1. Mbuemo 2.54 (1)
2. Grealish 2.48 (4)
3. Dewsbury-Hall 2.45 (2)
4. Ndiaye 2.40 (1)
5. Saka 2.25 (0) 😭

Saka missed has missed 3-4 PL games.

4 non-penalty goals and 0 assists in 14 games is disappointing. At least if he is supposed to be considered one of the best wingers in the world.

The underlying numbers are good, the performances are good; I just posted a video that shows you how mental it is that Saka has 0 assists right now. The G/A will come.

Disgrace. We already qualified top. He better get rest vs Albania.

If not I actually question Arsenal just as much as England.

Surely you can paint a bit of a picture here in terms of us having 2 out of 7 attackers fit and say that if England want Saka fit and firing for the WC he needs a bit of rest.

If it wasn’t for injuries we’d have no excuse but we’ve had to play him every game recently.
