Here we go then, this season's first opportunity for silverware, & the first since we won the FA Cup Final in 2020 in Arteta's first season.

We've not won the League Cup since 1993, beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-1, & securing the domestic cup double in the process.

Steve Morrow scored the winner, but is probably more famous for Tony Adams dropping him from his shoulders in the post game celebrations, breaking Morrows arm in the process 🤦🏼‍♂️

Arsenal on X: "🗓 #OnThisDay in 1993: A memorable afternoon for Steve Morrow... Scores winner in League Cup final 🏆 Breaks arm in full-time celebrations 🤕

Hopefully the only thing we will be breaking on Sunday, is Man City's hearts 💔😂

The main team selection question is will Teta stick with Kepa in goal or not ?

Prediction : Arsenal 3 - 1 Man City

COYG 💪🏼

Arteta will start Kepa, but I don't agree with it.

Haaland is through one on one, who do you want facing him, Raya or Kepa? Which goalkeeper gives the defence the most confidence? The answer is obvious.

Nothing against Kepa, he's a good back up but I'd want to see us putting our strongest side out when a trophy is on the line. That's more important then making the back up keeper feel happy

If Kepa doesn't like it, okay. It's not hard for a club the size of Arsenal to find another back up.

Its a cup final..form goes out of the window.

They will be up for it and we need to be great defensively. I'm just worried with starting Kepa for this game.

Game has high potential for a stalemate. I know I'd want Kepa between those sticks in this scenario. Plus he hasn't put a foot wrong mostly and will be super motivated.

Calafiori, Timber, Havertz and maybe Kepa in compared to yesterday. If Timber is fit, White and no Mosquera for the RB please.

Just a quick question to all of us? we are not gonna lose arent we? I think winning this will give us an edge.

Havertz

It depends on how City will line up but i suppose they will play deep. so Trossard might be the better option. Havertz upfront also better for this match.

When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.
