I just watched the highlights and based on that and what others are saying we should have ended this tie today. I'm getting annoyed at our penchant to let teams back in the game.
Exactly the same thing that happened when we went 3-1 up at Bournemouth. We look horrible defensively whenever we start playing passive football.

merino should scored to make 4-1 but he did not

Their 2nd goal was really disappointing by Kepa. Wasn't getting close to the ball then dropped to his knees appealing for an imaginary foul. Meanwhile, Gabriel saw the danger even as he was landing and went full Superman trying to block it with his head. If he almost reached it, then Kepa clearly could with his arms available.

If Rosenior makes them play out from the back like tonight they are going to get caught on the regular. They are terrible at it. We should’ve punished them multiple times.
Those types of managers who try to impose their own football philosophy regardless of the opponent are just cringe. They put their team under unnecessary pressure, especially when facing sides that are strong at pressing. We’ve seen it with Brighton against City and Villa against Liverpool. It’s frustrating to watch how easily they give away goals. I remember a coach once saying he would rather lose 0–5 than make any concessions to his style of football.

Interesting details from Saliba.

- Says we are desperate to win this and every tournament we are playing in.

- Agrees that he and Gabriel is the best CB pairing in world football but says they have to prove it by winning trophies. If they don't win any trophies its pointless.

It's clear for players and manager every trophy is important, and trophies is more important for them than honourable 2nd or 3rd places.

A worldie? He dived to the wrong corner and was bailed out by pure luck when the ball hit his feet. Is this @Rasmi burner account?
It was still a very good save even if he got a bit lucky. I think Merino hit that volley too well, a scuffed one goes in. No bother. We should beat them at the Emirates regardless of which team they put out tbh.
Palmer and others aren’t suddenly going to make them defensively competent, which has been their weakness all season.

Why are so many Argentinians that unlikeable?? Enzo, both Martinez, De Paul, Garnacho and even Messi. That WC title who fifa gave them have increased their arrogrance.
All their country is racist. Interesting where does it come from. Maybe the nazi germany influence where convicted war criminals fled to Argentina.

Argentina are pretty used to fascistic and other political and military Juntas etc. Have a bit of a superiority complex, in which respect see the how the (frankly petty) Falklands dispute was used as a tool to prop up the then regime. I always think their players hate England and are only come here for the money.
