Enjoy Ronaldo's success more than Messi's. With Ronaldo, you get that sense of inspiration knowing what you can achieve with hard work. With Messi, well, he's not human, is he?

The whole Messi is talent while Ronaldo is hard work is a load of rubbish I think.

You can bet your house that Messi worked his bollocks off to get to the top. All the research out there points to practice makes perfect rather than natural talent.

Winning all the time would just get boring. Better to space trophies out by 5, 10 or ideally 15 years or so. Makes you appreciate it more, and builds character.
The exact opposite of the humiliations method. Being humiliated on a regular basis, preferably yearly, is an ideal recipe for character building.

Thankfully, at Arsenal, we employ both to cover all bases.

Can't see any argument that would convince me that Messi is better than Ronaldo.

For one, Ronaldo would never be able to pick out those passes Messi did against Juventus. That pass for Iniesta was insane when he took out pretty much the whole Juventus defensive block. Messi's whole game on the ball is far better.

Messi is 5x the playmaker Ronaldo is. Messi is literally the best playmaker in the world while also scoring about the same amount as Ronaldo. Absolutely insane.

Think people underestimate the current situation we're witnessing. The two greatest footballers of all time playing for the two biggest rivals in football. Fairy-tale stuff. Just a shame Ronaldo is so cringy.

Bayern Fans should be quite.
Bayerns goal to 1:2 was offside too - so without that, they would not even be in extra time.
In addition: Vidal should be sent off after 5o minutes, 1,5 gifted penalties in two games.

I feel like stats say a lot here. It's evident when you watch them as well but people tend to just compare the goals when Messi is literally levels above Ronaldo in basically every other facet of the game.

Ronaldo is so much than what stats show. He is character, true winner.

Leads Portugal to win international tournament while Messi is given one of the most talented national team in the world and all he has done is quitting national football and start again. That whiny cringy little fellah.

Nah,Argentina isn't that strong as people like to represent. In WC 2014 Messi was way better in every sense than any other player from their team. But,i agree both Messi and Ronaldo are wankers.

Agreed, these things are unmeasurable.

He's 32 and his hunger and desire to win and score goals is more important to me than 'average pass length' stats ffs.

Messi dragged a horrendously set up Argentinian side to a WC final and lost against one of the best national team of the last decade. He won player of the tournament.

What could he do against that? Germany were literally better at every position except CF. Yet he almost did it. They lost by one goal in extra time, it's not like he completely bottled it.

Portugal didn't even get out of the group stages, ended up behind the United States

That's why you can't use international football for anything. It's the football version of All-Star games, it's not what pays the bills for anyone except FIFA/UEFA.

Ronaldo was ****e in the Euros. Players down the spine like Patricio, Pepe and Adrien were the heroes for Portugal. Nani, Cedric and Guerreiro also had great tournaments. Ronaldo was very average and his finishing was way off.
