...both teams should give him a guard of honour before the game, imo.

Well let's play and win. Maybe a pep talk from Arsène can revive our spirits. I don't care how we win but let's do this and hope to secure qualification. COYG

I know Arteta never gives anything away but I really hope both Gabby XL and Cala are available, it's concerning that Gabby XL in particular has missed two games, he barely ever misses two games in row.
In a way, I'm glad that Gabby has missed two matches in the sense that he was very clearly concussed and it seems that they're all doing the right thing and prioritizing his welfare rather than trying to rush him back with a head injury that's not fully healed. Football is just a game. He's a husband and father. Much more important that he gets all the time he needs to be 100% right now and in the future.

For sure - the reporting was a bit weird coming out of West Ham as he wasn't taken off from the concussion protocol but he got a pretty bad whack to the head then there was talk about he could have played vs United but we wanted to give him extra time so the mixed reporting has been very difficult to understand

Isn’t Gabriel’s injury a flare up of the knee he suffered against Liverpool?

It’s hard to be enthusiastic about this as unless we sign a striker in the first week of January and he hits the ground running, we have no chance of doing anything.

We have one striker (who is hardly clinical) and we are running him into the ground as we cannot possibly play our back up ‘striker’ as he doesn’t even resemble a footballer.

I assume the usual suspects will still be injured for this one.

Feel like not enough importance is being put on this game by some posters here. This is essentially our first 6 pointer as we get deeper into this league. Monaco have the same amount of points so we can put 3 points of daylight between us.

There are also a lot of other teams on 10 points so if we lose or drop points we can potentially drop out of the automatic qualification spots.

I think Arteta mainly goes first XI here. Maybe some changes like Merino coming into the team and perhaps Havertz switched with Jesus (as he’s not in the best form).

I was just looking at the stats too! Trying to work out what we need to make top 8. You're right... it is very tight. Even City could overtake us, even though they are 17th to our 7

And we NEED to make top 8

That's the politest I've seen anyone put it on here 🤣

Arsenal Quotes

No one could have imagined for a single second that he would come to us. Only David Dein, Sol, his agent, and I knew what was going on. When I called a press conference to announce the arrival of a new player, and Sol Campbell walked into the room full of journalists, it was a bombshell.
