Right so the draw has been made. If you still want to join after this you can but you’ll have to do so before the end of the first round and you’ll be added to the back.

This is the order for the picks…

1) @Riou
2) @Juan Matas Beard and @Gooner416
3) @A_G
4) @jones and @albakos
5) @pigge
6) @Uncle Good-Advice and @SA Gunner
7) @Oxeki
8) @Rex Bezos and @Trilly
9) @Sapient Hawk
10) @bingobob
11) @Clrnc
12) @farzad4daarse

That means that @Riou you are on the clock.

Don’t forget after the 2nd round the order flips on it’s head.

No discussion in this thread, only picks.

Tag the next person who is after you, so they know it’s their pick.

Remember: You have 2 hours to make your pick and 20 minutes if you’re online. If you miss the window then your pick will be chosen at random so don’t miss it.

[A_G]

Edgar Davids, 2002/03

@Juan Matas Beard @Gooner416 next

[Gooner416]

Edgar Davids, 2002/03

@Juan Matas Beard @Gooner416 next

Claude Makelele 2003-04

Go on @Riou

[Rex Caudillo]

We've had a goalkeeper come up for @Riou on the randomiser! This time he’s bagged Flávio Roma from the 2003/04 Monaco side.

Not going to say I know an awful lot about this guy ngl…

[Rex Caudillo]

As for @Riou second pick he’s been given Valencia’s left back from the 2000/2001 season Amedeo Carboni.

Again don’t know an awful lot about this guy.

@Juan Matas Beard and @Gooner416 your turn guys

[Rex Caudillo]

So once again the randomiser has spoken. This time it's for @Juan Matas Beard and @Gooner416 and they've been given an Atleti finalist from 2016.

An underrated right back by all accounts it's Juanfran (although he did miss in the shootout...)

@A_G you're up mate

[A_G]

Nemanja Vidic 2007/08 can join his old mate Didier on my team

@albakos @jones go

[jones]

Mikhail Essien 07/08 when he'd have won the CL too if it weren't for @farzad4daarse captain Terry slipping like a little B I T C H

@pigge yallah

[Rex Caudillo]

I've got @pigge pick and it's Esteban Cambiasso from the 2009/10 Champions League winning Inter Milan side. Great midfielder.

@SA Gunner and @Uncle Good-Advice you're up guys

[Uncle Good-Advice]

WIth our pick we select the greatest keeper of all time.

Juventus had one of the best defensive campaigns in CL history in 2016/2017, conceding just 3 goals in 12 matches on their road to the final. Unfortunately they faced fantastic Real team in the final and lost 4-1. Juve's defence was led by the one and only Gianluigi Buffon and he's our pick.

@Oxeki

[Oxeki]

Dani Carvajal 2016/2017.

@Rex Bezos @Trilly

[Trilly]

Rex deleted and kindly let me post this one so I can qualify for a winners medal (again I promise you we are discussing these picks ) here goes:

Can’t believe ya’ll let us pick prime VVD.

4G/A from a CB in a CL winning campaign una. Pretty much unanimously the best CB in the world during that period too.

The guy who had Mikel pre-c*mming in a post match interview about his distribution. He’s basically the reason why Mikel went to the Kroenke’s and got them to invest. Basically the reason we’re top of the league una.

Forwards would come up against this guy and you’d visibly see all fight leave their soul

18/19 VeeVeeDee!

@Sapient Hawk go

[Sapient Hawk]

My goalkeeper has to be every bit as steadfast & mythic as Neville Southal.

Goes without saying I'd go for..

Andoni Zubizaretta!!

@bingobob go!!

[bingobob]

One of the greats. He has won that many it's hard to choose. But I will go for the 2014 season in which he scored an equaliser in stoppage time vs Atlético. It sent the game into extra time which Madrid went on to comfortably win .

@Clrnc your turn

@Clrnc

[Clrnc]

GOAT RB Cafu Roma please from 0203 when he was voted the best RB in CL

@farzad4daarse

[Farzad]

Busquets -10/11 Barca

Roberto Carlos- 97/98 Real

Go @Clrnc

[Rex Caudillo]

Wesley Sneijder 2009/10 for @Clrnc

@bingobob is up next

[Rex Caudillo]

I've also got @bingobob pick and after we pipped him to Van Dijk he's gone for the other Celtic-Liverpool connection to win the Champions League...

He's picked up their marauding left back from 2019 Andrew Robertson. Top full back.

@Sapient Hawk you're up

[Rex Caudillo]

So @Sapient Hawk really is building a fearsome side right now. We have another former Arsenal legend to go alongside the mighty Manuel Almunia...

It's a dominant French CB who made the 2003/04 final with Monaco...

Spoiler: It's...

Sebastian Squillaci

Myself and @Trilly are next

[Rex Caudillo]

So with our pick we're taking the serial winner David Alaba from his 2015/16 season with Bayern Munich.

Although this wasn't one of the 3 seasons he won it, it was the peak of his career at left back before he eventually moved to center back full time. Bagged a goal and an assist in a 5:1 mauling of us and he only missed out on the final due to an all time defensive effort from Atletico.

@Oxeki up next

[Rex Caudillo]

Soooo @Oxeki has managed to send me a pick beforehand anddddd it's legitimate

He's chosen one of Barca's underrated wide men from that team, it's Pedro 2010/11. The guy absolutely shredded Ferguson in his last ever CL final and the Mancs haven't been back near one ever since.

@SA Gunner and @Uncle Good-Advice are up next
