Right so the draw has been made. If you still want to join after this you can but you’ll have to do so before the end of the first round and you’ll be added to the back.

This is the order for the picks…

1) @Riou
2) @Juan Matas Beard and @Gooner416
3) @A_G
4) @jones and @albakos
5) @pigge
6) @Uncle Good-Advice and @SA Gunner
7) @Oxeki
8) @Rex Bezos and @Trilly
9) @Sapient Hawk
10) @bingobob
11) @Clrnc
12) @farzad4daarse

That means that @Riou you are on the clock.

Don’t forget after the 2nd round the order flips on it’s head.

No discussion in this thread, only picks.

Tag the next person who is after you, so they know it’s their pick.

Remember: You have 2 hours to make your pick and 20 minutes if you’re online. If you miss the window then your pick will be chosen at random so don’t miss it.

Our next pick is the desert magician, the one who dazzled every competition in that excellent 2018/19 season.

An added bonus is that he tore apart the heart of that lot down the road.

Ladies and gents, it's Mohammed Salah

As @Riou s team is now officially the forum bike instead of dragging it out by waiting until 11am for a randomiser tomorrow we’ve had @db10_therza make a one off pick for him.

He’s gone with the maestro Andrea Pirlo from the 2006/07 season when Milan got revenge on the Scousers.

We now flip the draft order as it’s the end of round 2 and @farzad4daarse will kick us off.

There’s no obligation to make a pick @farzad4daarse however we’re starting at 9am GMT so if I was you I’d make the pick tonight.

You only have one pick this round.

Thought i would steal a march on UK poshboys while you enjoy your beauty rest.

10 goals, 3 assists in 10 matches, was not fit in the final that they lost 1-0 to Madrid easily best CL player of the late 90s. 3 straight finals and Juve’s only European crown

Regarded as one of the best in the world, he created mass controversy when he transferred to Real Madrid for a world record fee. He got a pigs head thrown at him but at least he won the Champions League in the 01/02 season.

However, arguably his best year, which I'm opting for, was his 99/00 season for Barcelona. 13 games, 8 goals and 5 assists in the CL he helped Barcelona reach the semi final with his performance's earnig him the Ballon D'or, albeit in the white of Madrid. A true legend of the game.

@Sapient Hawk you're up.

So we’ve decided to take Manuel Neuer who’s the only keeper to be a Ballon d’or finalist.

However we’re selecting his 2010-11 season with Schalke where they reached the semi finals.

Was far too good for the team by that point and was pulling off worldy saves like these.

Ok so for @Oxeki the randomiser has spoken. It's thrown up...

Can’t help but feel he’s got away with one here. Not only has he got a top player in Fernando Morientes but he’s not even had to use up a Real Madrid slot to get him 😭

Guy was elite in 2003/04 on loan for Monaco. He banged in the goals against Real his parent club in the quarter finals before smashing the Chavs in the semis. Legend.

@SA Gunner and @Uncle Good-Advice you’re up guys

He may not have been gifted with the best of looks, but whenever he was on that left side of attack, he absolutely terrified opposition defences with his trickery and raw talent. Our very own Arsenal often fell to the sword of this fantastic player.

Although the stats of the 2012/13 season may not give his full picture, he was at his absolute peak during that fantastic season when Heynckes' Bayern won the Champions League in 2012/13 after they absolutely destroyed a great Barca side in semifinal by 7-0 in aggregate (4-0 in Allianz and 3-0 at Camp Nou) and left Messi flat on his butt.

It's Franck Ribéry 2012/13

Next we're picking a man who keeps being criminally underrated despite tearing it up every draft, showing AM up for the nittys with nonexistent knowledge they are.

A man with cat like reflexes and instrumental in three CL wins, more than any other player possibly in the history of humanity.

Even he wasn't enough to overcome PSGs bottling DNA yet he was arguably just peaking aged 34, as he's even now showing world class performances for Nottingham Plumbers.

Unbeknownst to many he also converted specifically for the duration of this CL draft. The CONCACAF conqueror, the man, the myth, the Muslim,
