In short, yes it's kinda taboo to not play if you can play somewhat. A lot of coaches take it badly and maybe Arteta is one of them (we don't know).
football cant touch this GIF by Atlético de Madrid

Trossard and Øde not good touches today. Rice good defensively but too slow with his passing and ends up too far back imo. Zinchenko good in possession. Tomi looks rusty at rb but growing into it. Havertz is doing Havertz things.

Mate, c'mon if he had rested Saka and the game ended in a draw people would be calling for his head.
Most fans would have understood if he rested only Saka.

If we can't beat Lens without Saka, then there's something fundamental wrong with this team tbh.

Honestly I don’t think this is a big deal.

He was a risk coming in and I imagine he was told to put his hand up the second he felt anything wrong and that’s all this was. You can legitimately question why bother starting with him at all in that case ofc but that’s a separate thing.

I’m willing to bet on @OnlyOne ’s trusted status that he will play vs City.

It could even be an impact injury completely unrelated to any knock he was carrying.

We have a full team out there bar Tomy and still got pressed back by Lens. People need to respect this competition a bit more.

I think Saka is either broken down now or taking precaution, hopefully the latter.

We still have enough here to win tonight, it’s about calming things down and taking advantage of their desire to take the lead. They are being cut apart when they press high, yet continue to do it… we need to make those situations count soon before the change plan and settle for a point.

Nah I agree he’s probably fine again. My point is why do we have this scenario every game. I’m getting fed up of the saka on the ground bingo

Why does Havertz have to sacrifice his position for Trossard and Vieira who are crap? And, they've been crap ever since AM began begging for them to start.

Stop ****ing whining about Saka. Arteta wouldn't have played him if he was not fit. He'll be ready for city as well.

I'm in a very remote place. Service has been bad here. My stream has been stuttering, but of the little I watched, we were crap.

Wouldn’t bother, Europa League tie with a CL badge and theme tune.

Thinks he's better than Havertz.

Think starting 11 minus Saka most would have been happy with tbh. If Arsenal can't beat Lens without Saka then we might as well treat it like Europa.

You must have different experience with Arsenal fans than me then. If Saka was rested and we lost Arteta would have been killed on here.
