Just a side note.

Has everyone just checked out of the season completely? 'Cos I can't seem to find discussions about the Champions League game or even the thread's existence, despite the game scheduled for tomorrow. Or has it somehow been postponed @A_G ?

Sea of empty seats around me and mostly “tourists”. Beany junior had a woodworking class (seriously!) so I took a mate instead.

Crazy thing is that I was in London tonight anyway - I’m also coming to the Chelsea game from the Isle of Wight at the weekend so somehow, tonight was only my second most pointlless game of the week…! .
Very nice mate, great pics.

Looking forward to Real I imagine? These are the games where a club creates its history which then becomes woven into the fabric of the club. Arsenal have a golden opportunity against the Kings of Europe.

Zinchenko is our solution as left 8. I really hope we try him together with Ødegaard. Played really well today. Insane we took so long to put him in the correct position.

Very dead atmosphere as expected. Many empty seats but the PSV fans never stopped singing. Fair play to them.

Some of the fans around me laughed and complained when they saw that we are 9-3 up and still putting on first teamers instead of the young players while PSV gave so many youngsters debuts

All in all pretty fun, bring on Chelsea
He is not bad, could be an squad option but I don't see him as "the solution" but maybe a contributor. I am more attracted to the idea of Lewis Skelly playing there and Calafiori as LB both interchanging positions a lot with a new LW. I think Lewis Skelly could be the real thing we already have.

Zinchenko has barely played most of the season. Even Tierney is ahead of him. Think he will be moved on in the summer

Yep i would move him on as well but for the rest of the season we should double 8 with him and Ødegaard

Yep - if you make the quarters you at least have a chance - I actually prefer Real to Athletico, as the latter are much closer to an elite version of what we face week in week out in the Prem.

Agreed. We might score against Real. Best case v Athletic would have been two 0-0 draws and hope to win in penalties

Woodwork over football?

Disown him and write him out of your will immediately 😂

I don’t think Zinchenko has the positional discipline to play 8 (in Arteta’s team) against a proper club.

He also still has that one guaranteed brain fart a game. Yesterday was in the first half, he was under no pressure at all, trying to switch the play around the half way line facing our goal, and kicked it straight to their striker who fortunately couldn’t control it and Gabriel mopped up.

There could have been other times, I didn’t really watch the game that just happened when I flicked it on for a minute.

Didn't watch the game, but Arteta must really not rate Butler-Oyedeji and Kabia if he didn't bring them on in this setting.

He's not a midfielder for a good side. Doing it for Ukraine is one thing. But there's a reason Pep and Arteta don't use him there.

Lacks positional discipline, mental strength / decision making and is one of the most physically weak players you'll ever see.

It's galaxy brain stuff to think he could play there for us.

PSV fans were a class apart, contenders for the best I've ever seen.

My abiding memory is being wasted & watching the Madrid pens on a jumbo screen without audio and not understanding why Real went through

Agree here. It should be Lewis-Skelly if we're keeping it 1000.
