Jose Mourinho says Chelsea's rivals are trying to buy the title

Haha what the ****. How hypocrite can one be?

Just saw this and thought to myself 'are you f*ing serious!?'. Surely this guy is trolling, playing mind games already. I can't believe that someone can be so delusional and hypocritical as to say he's rivals are trying to buy the title when that's all he's ever done throughout his whole career other than porto.

The CS might no be important, but I do not want to see that **** (or any of the other ****s in blue for that matter) lift it. We need to beat them to it.

As abhorrent as this man and that club is, he and they still manage to surprise me every season!

Let's set aside the hundreds of millions spent since the Russian gangster arrived for a sec.

Mr. Mourinho, what exactly was it that you did last summer when you bought a new spine ?

He can't be referring to us however, as we have only spent £10 mil on Cech thus far. I guarantee our net spend will still end up similar to Chelsea's this summer as they'll end up spending c. £35m on Stones any way.

DISGUSTING CLUB. If there is any justice remaining in this sport they will drop through the lower leagues as Leeds did in years to come, and I will have no sympathy as they desperately appeal for bailouts to keep they're pitiful legacy afloat

Season hasn't even started yet and Mourinho's already winding you lot up. He's not wrong in what he says in the article and even admits Chelsea were doing the exact same thing ten years ago. No doubt he'll come out with far more insulting nonsense over the course of the season, especially if we're in the title race.

You're right, anger is definitely what he wants to incite. No doubt he was one of those kids in the playground who'd provoke the bigger kids with incessant wind ups and then cry when he got the dead arm.
What kills me is the tireless lack of intelligence or context to his arguments as it was the Chelsea model that proved to be the catalyst for the modern 'buying' culture.
Something that has tarnished the game to a degree. And yes, I acknowledge that the bigger clubs have always been able to take the players of lower teams however, CFC took it to the nth degree and gave rise to all the oligarch/Arab 'Toy FC's '

Want to also say: It does look like he's getting in his excuses early tho. Clearly worried. No doubt if we win it, it'll all have been ''down to Petr'', judging by how much fuss he made over the prospect.

Hahahahahaha omg the poor little horse.

He's so hypocritical he'd probably complain that when small clubs come to Stamford Bridge all they do is defend and 'it's not proper football or good for the game'...

Can't stand the ****. What a massive ****

I'm almost certain he has claimed that before, I think it was when Sunderland beat them season before last.

That 19th Century football quote had me in stitches for days. I don't know whether he says all these things purely as mind games, or he's genuinely just a hypocritical ****. Probably a lot of both

I'm very curious to see what happens to Mou ten years from now. Will he flame out or emerge as a more statesmanlike figure? The intensity to his personality and approach can't last forever. and once the comforts of Stamford Bridge end, and by comforts I mean, I'll gotten money, how does he shape his career?

This is a bit misleading, IMO. A more accurate representation could be had by using net spend, instead of gross spending. Mourinho would probably still rank out near the top using the net spend metric, too.

I think @Kroket is right in how Mourinho has been quoted ,over the last few years we have spent massively , more so than a lot of other clubs. Where Mourinho falls down is that he fails to mention that is our own money, we invested time and effort at the expense of trophies to be in this position ,oddly enough while doing so we simultaneously helped Mourinho to more silverware .

We are challengers ,we have shown top progress in the last two seasons, now is the time to bridge the gap and win it.

He might be an arse and a troll, but I can't see what's wrong with what he's been saying. Over the past two summers, we have spent massive amounts of money on new players.

The big difference is though, HOW we managed to spend that money, and that's something Mourinho surprisingly does not talk about.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-jabs-Arsène-wenger-6148895

"Jose Mourinho has started his latest war of words with Arsène Wenger - a week before they open the season in the Community Shield.

The Chelsea boss has locked horns with his Arsenal counterpart on numerous occasions, famously describing the Frenchman as a “specialist in failure” and a “voyeur”

Get a calculator. That is one of the easiest things to do. It leaves no space for speculation. If you want to be honest, objective and pragmatic it is the easiest job for a manager or a journalist to do.

“They have bought a fantastic goalkeeper and that is a position which is very important in a team.

“If you put Özil plus Sanchez, plus Chambers, plus Debuchy you will maybe find a surprise.”

Over the last 12 months Arsenal have spent more than £100million in the transfer market while Chelsea spent £82m.

Arsenal’s total included £33million on Alexis Sanchez, £16million on Calum Chambers, £16million on Danny Welbeck and £13.5million on Gabriel Paulista in January.

While Mourinho is pursuing John Stones - rated a British record £34million for a defender by Everton - he believes Wenger has managed to escape scrutiny for his lack of title success in relation to the money he has spent, £11m of which he has just spent on buying keeper Petr Cech from Chelsea.

Mourinho added: “It’s a fantastic squad with good players, fantastic goalkeeper. They are more than ready to be title contenders.

“Everyone of us should expect to win the title. We have five teams who will play for the title, only one will win and one of us will be playing Europa League in two years.

“That is the reality, five teams for four Champions League positions, only one will be champion and one in Europa League.”

So far this summer Mourinho has spent £8million on reserve keeper Asmir Begovic and brought in Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan.

Now he has claimed Chelsea won the title last season spending far less money than the Gunners chief.

Mourinho said: “If you add up the amounts the clubs have spent in the last three or four years I think maybe you will find a surprise."

Mourinho is a bullsh*t spewing c*nt. He's responding to Wenger claiming that that it was hard for us to win the league over the past few years by saying that we've spent massively over the last 3/4 years when in reality, last season was the 1st time we really spent heavily outside of Özil the season before that. Now that we're finally really spending the c*nt is getting nervous, sweating his bollocks off!

Also the article is talking complete horsesh*t by saying we've spent more than Chelsea in the past year (them at 82 and us at 100mil). Fabregas, Costa, Cuadrado, Luis alone cost more than 100mil.
