Chelsea FC: Not Too Xabi

Very embarrassing for Carragher who previously totally dismissed the idea that an ex Liverpool legend will take the Chelsea job

"That's totally impossible, so I will rule out Xabi for the job completely."
People have to work. These ties to clubs are not as strong as the fans make them out to be.

Reaction to Arsenal winning the league

Who’s gonna stop Arsenal winning the league next season with Pep gone, it sure isn’t gonna be Maresca. As much as I’m glad to see the end of the Pep era, I thought we would be ready by the time that happened. Sigh.
I think with the blatant corruption in the SFA to hand the great unwashed the title. Coupled with Stoke on Thames winning the league with some of the most heinous set piece routines in recent memory down here. This could actually be the worst season of football in my lifetime.
Arteta is a f**king **** and so is that rat face c**t, Havertz.

0 red cards for Arsenal this season… and penalties against them.

Arsenal and their **** of a fanbase won’t be remembered as worthy champions.
The only consolation (and I'm really reaching) is that they won it today when they're not playing so it feels anti climatic.
Absolutely awful champions, worst I can think of. City as well have been sh*te, leagues been really poor this year.

Can't wait for Maresca to absolutely run City into the ground.
What great is that Arsenal winning the league playing like this will only make Arteta lean into it more. Since it isn't sustainable to get every decision your way while creating bugger all and sh*thousing 1-0 wins every time we can look forward to the inevitable collapse.

PSG turn up and they will humiliate them in the final.

f**king gooners f**k them yapping lot can't stand the lot of them

First league title and major title in what? 22 years? Embarrassing for what they call themselves an English historic football giant and international elite club.

Here's to PSG trashing them in the UCL final!
Biggest issue for me is who’s stopping them next season, back to back would be even worse. We need United or Liverpool to step up, both would be horrible outcomes… but certainly better than Arsenal.
A few of the Arses morons with replica shirts and scarfs were at Earls Court station after our game. We weren’t happy but especially the Sp**s were fuming. I’m not sure if they were just provoking or what, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sp**s fans did them in the carriage. What a bunch of c**ts they are.
Silver lining is their fans didn't see their team win in person and they'll be lifting the title away from home.

Hope PSG smack them in the Champions League Final.
Wins against Everton and Bournemouth and City would have been top now. What a stupid way to gift Arsenal the league title.
This really has been the worst period of football I have lived through so far. I've seen Arsenal win things in the past, not so much Liverpool, but having them both win the league title back to back whilst our club has become a shambles is really hard to stomach. We weren't a top top club when I started supporting Chelsea, but we were still respectable and you could be proud of our efforts, but I genuinely can't stand the club right now.

It's worse than ever seeing Arsenal win something, because their fanbase is more insufferable than I ever thought could be possible. I didn't think it could be as bad as Liverpool's when Gerrard was around, but Arsenal's lot are the anus of the universe.
Meh, they're no different from any other fanbase really. I think many of us err by mistaking internet people for real people.

They have perhaps been uninspiring, but less so than the rest of the league (and the clubs in Europe come to think of it). I'm reminded of when the roles were reversed and Arsenal fans were dismissing our achievements because we 'didn't play proper football', 'kicked opponents off the pitch' (etc.) These sour grapes are as old as time.

They might not even get Europa League. How stupid Chelsea fans can be?

Chelsea’s problem was exacerbated by winning the Club World Cup thingy. It made the ownership and fans believe that they were ready to make some real noise in the Prem. After all, they beat PSG….LOL. When they eventually begun falling behind to their actual level, it seemed to be a huge shock. Their recruiting policy has been their undoing. It will be interesting to see what Xabi Alonso does with this squad.

I can see them doing very well next season, similar to what happened Manchester United this season. Alonso will have plenty of time to implement his playing style with only one game per week schedule.

Imagine being a player and not one club loves you. Gotta be depressing.
