Don't think Madrid is that patient, they got results in CL under Carlo and Zidane so they had to back them up, think even Ancelotti had to stay after 24/25 season and he left.

Count also that squad was better in that time when Zidane and Carlo were there than it was under Xabi, Madrid is more ruthless that Liverpool and Arsenal in terms of sacking managers, Xabi just could not handle players's egos there and he came to early there imo.

That was long time ago , Pellegrini had Pep's Barcelona in league and got 96 points, but ok in CL was flop, Mou never stayed somewhere more that 5 years.
