can easily see Tommy getting sacked so Toddy can activate Tammys buyback clause next summer

Tommy just messed up any good will with the Rommy transfer

Interesting to see the outburst from Tuchel, not sure we would’ve seen him speak like this if Roman was still around.

He knows he's calling the shots, it's an interesting scenario for a Chelsea manager considering you were out the moment you displeased Roman. Don't see him getting the sack anytime soon.

Regarding the trainwreck of the friendly match, Kante fixes that midfield and they have been doing pretty much every correct move they can to fix the defender exodus, but it's the attack what looks unfixable this season after missing out on Raphinha. There's simply not a player, not even a costly one, that you can say immediately improves them, and they're clearly shook after throwing 100m on spoiled brat Lukaku.

We will be seeing this a lot next season...

...just replace Nkietah, with an attacker from whoever Chelsea are each gameweek.

It's a very tough spot to be in when all of your attacking players are capable of missing sitters with relative frequency. They don't have a truly clinical player in their squad at present.

Chelsea winning the CL was probably a big mistake because it justified their terrible transfer window. They signed a bunch of attacking players and no coach knows how to get them to gel. Lampard got Chelsea into the top 4 with a transfer ban and mostly homegrown players and they ruined it. You know when you’re young and you drive past a McDonald’s in your dad’s car and you ask those famous words: “Can we have McDonald’s please?”
Only for your mum to turn back and quash any thoughts of a happy meal because, “there’s rice at home”. Yeah, Chelsea need a mother to tell them there’s rice at home. Imagine this:

343
Pulisic-Tammy-Olise
Chillwell-Kante-Kovavic-James
Rudiger-Thiago-Tomori
Mendy.

That’s a pretty decent team under a coach like Tuchel and it wouldn’t cost a fortune to construct.

Pulisic is average, Tammy is just English Lukaku who will turn into a pumpkin again the moment he returns to the PL and Olise is good but not better than Sterling. They'd be no better off, especially given that Rudiger was always going to leave. We might be though, we could have finished above that team.

In fact we were a Saliba away from finishing above that team.

I'm getting more confident in my prediction that Chelsea will have it hard this season. It's new realities for them and this will have an effect, regardless of people thinking that they will just continue where they left off. It's not that easy.

Looking forward to their next panic buy like Koulibaly who I think will get exposed this year. Thiago Silva is still quality though, probably paper in some of those cracks.
