Signing all these players on 7/8 year deals. What chance of their academy players breaking through? Oh well, never mind.

They probably won't retain Félix when Nkunku comes in, or they'll try to use him as a RW instead. They're looking to make Havertz into a false nine, which can be done, but requires goalscorers on the wings. So far it hasn't worked so they'll have high expectations from Mudryk in that regard.

For me Havertz is best breaking from midfield into the box. They’re just not utilising him in the right way imo. He’s not a CF I don’t know why Chelsea fans judge him as one.

What is more bizarre are their fans cheering this on their site claiming they won the transfer window.

Boehly isn’t even the real power that is Eghbali, how did i know a Persian American from the Westside of LA is behind this? A yank and a Persian working together, this Eghbali guy seems to think he is buying antique rugs at the bazaar. He doesn’t understand these are volatile, deprecating assets with massive carry costs.

Clearlake isnt that rich. They manage 70 billion of other people’s highly regulated money. They are not going to Sugardaddy Chelsea when the money is due, this isn’t family money this is hedge fund money they want double digit returns or they will tear the seats out and sell them to get their payout. 70 billion is not a major hedge fund the big hedge funds are in the hundreds and trillions. The money is highly regulated by the SEC there are no sugardaddy deals. You make this work financially or the Wall Street guys carve you up, or the feds indict you. This is not Stan loaning his own asset money

People are so stupid post Brexit the Chelsea fans are cheering two newbies who are setting fire to their long term finances and their loans are hard money, this not like Stan loaning his own asset money this public investor money. Big difference.

I can’t believe AM was crying because Chelsea beat us in transfers. Chelsea committed **** in the last two windows. There is zero chance zero chance this will work. Eghbali and boehly have no idea what these players are worth and have never had to move a 100 million pound bust. Goodbye CFC it was nice to know you maybe in 50 years the future version of Ryan Reynolds will buy you and help you get promoted to League 2

Tbf most Chelsea fans I know think he’s amazing and being misused as well. But it’s not like they have a no9…

Precisely, they need a 9 and a DM more than anything imo, and they’ve spent 600m but somehow haven’t bought a 9 or a DM. It’s crazy.

Nkunku will come in and he’ll play 9 or false 9 and I think he’ll struggle in that position in the PL, and their fans will be asking for more signings.

He is extremely good. For some reason he plays as a CF at Chelsea despite not being a CF. He’s an AM. He’s a very good player.

Reason why Nkunku deal makes no sense to me cos he’s exactly the same type of player as Havertz, you don’t need both Havertz and Nkunku, and Felix ffs.
I must say Havertz looks very sloppy in possession. His passing range and vision is a bit disappointing imo. Type of CAM who doesn't really fit in the modern game. He's mostly good at timing his runs into the box and is cold in front of the goal, but doesn't keep the team ticking (like Ødegaard).

Definitely not the same as Nkunku, who has incredible technique. Really bummed Nkunku is going to Chelsea honestly, could fit across our front 4 so would give us tons of flexibility.

Chelsea are pretty much copying our strategy, buying young talent, mostly under 23 with a view to building a team that will grow stronger over the next 5-6 years. They of course are doing it with a much bigger budget, buying top dollar 'wonderkids' like Mudryk and Fernandez instead of us looking for players who for various reasons offer value for money.

So many of our signings have massively gone up in value, Saliba, Gabriel, Ødegaard, Martinelli even players like Jesus, Zinchenko and Tomiyasu are worth more now than we paid. I very much doubt that will happen with many of Chelsea's signings.

It will be interesting to see if their 'project' pays off as it requires more than just players, it requires the right coach, top level scouting with a high success rate, the right coaching team and the patience of both the board and fans.

Is this Enzo guy any good? For me (from what I saw at the WC) the stand outs for Argentina (outside of Messi) were MacAllister and Alvarez.

UEFA need to clamp down on the 8 year contract bullshit, throw the book at these clowns...mad how they can spend this much, better come back to bite them in the future.

If they somehow "do a Leeds", it will honestly be better than us winning the league... disgusting club.
