His lack of exposure in the PL has been baffling. Should easily be getting 15-20 minutes to close out games to give Zubi and/or Rice a rest.
Even Wigan, once they switched to a back 4, we were unable to really hurt. Granted we were already 4-0 up at that point, but you couldn't help but feel as though things had reverted to type a little, especially once Saka went off.He was impressive yesterday, in all phases but Wigan are bottom of league 1. Their defensive structure lacks the sophistication compared to our regular opponents. It's easy for him and Saka to shine centrally against this level of players
You wanted to extend Thomas Partey. He’s too good of a man to play for Arteta. I would even start him over Zubi next game
So did ArtetaYou wanted to extend Thomas Partey.
The point is that you don't get to claim some kind of moral high ground when you're just as big of an apologist for disgusting behavior but then you trusted Mandelson so what can we expect? So did Arteta
Prove it.So did Arteta

Don’t tell him. All this time he thought he was arguing with the prime minister.I don't think he's actually the guy in his profile pic

That may be his role but that shouldn't mean he should be restricted to only four poverty token appearances in the PL at this stage of the season. He's much more capable than that. He's a tidy squad player, maybe he could have had a few more minutes as a sub to rest Rice or Zubi.
But still I don't want him starting meaningful matches in important competitions, we're trying to win the PL / CL here and he's not that calibre of player.
Really solid elder statesman to have in the squad, that's his role, as it should be.
I don't think he's actually the guy in his profile pic
Nah the real Starmer supports Arsenal and doesn't carry the scars of being an unwanted, unfed house guest.Don’t tell him. All this time he thought he was arguing with the prime minister.

I don't think anyone is saying he needs ot be playing significant minutes, let alone in the big games. But surely the occasional start to play 45-60 minutes or as you say, the odd 15-20 minute cameos to protect a lead or just to give Zubi or even Rice a breather once in a while. He's surely good enough for that.Where I agree is when we've been 2 or 3 up with 15-20 minutes to go in the PL Arteta should have brought him on more, to save Rice or Zubi's legs mainly.
I was in favour of signing Nordgaard and am happy to have him here. But I'm not going to be going overboard wanting to give him significant minutes based on what he's done against cannon fodder like Portsmouth, Wigan and that rubbish team from Kazakhstan either.
Those long progressive balls is something we missing since Xhaka and later Partey left the team. That’s something we thought Zubimendi could add but he doesn’t. I think Nørgaard should play more EPL games and next to Rice or Zubimendi with Eze or Saka as 10 to balance the team.
Just rotate the midfield and combine the players. We have a lot of combinations and Arteta keeps using the worse progressive of them always without rotating. He is so afraid he can’t even try something and if doesn’t work just fix it during the game.
At this point Zubimendi, Rice and Ødegaard is redundant. Remember how good Rice looked next to Jorginho? Nørgaard has a lot of that but actually with all the physical attributes Jorge lost. Zubimendi needs a rest and get his game up. Then we have 4 -5 players capable of playing the 10 role and he only uses Ødegaard.
