Berta's in Portugal and London at the same time. Unbelievable.

I’m happy with this signing. Every time we play Brentford Nørgaard catches my eye. He’s an intelligent player and seems very reliable.

I recently read a comparison with Partey, only a year apart, 31 & 32. All the stats for Partey had declined in last 3 years, for Nørgaard the same stats had improved over last 3 years.

Great fee for Nørgaard. Very capable DM and needed veteran presence in the team.

Berta has been getting very good value for money in his signings so far. Impressed. Of course, the biggest value for money in the current market is Rodrygo for €80-90M!

What a smart transfer. Nørgaard is a such an underrated player, actually a top player who would easily be a starter everywhere outside the top four or five clubs. Defensively, he might be even better than Zubi (overall still not the level of the Spaniard, of course). His stats speak for themselves Christian Nørgaard Stats, Goals, Records, Assists, Cups and more | FBref.com What's most impressive about him is probably his consistency. With his strong header, he will make the already strong set-pieces even more dangerous. Also, I like his ability to switch play with accurate diagonal long balls. He's EPL proven, even London based, brings a bunch of experience and you'd expect him to hit the ground running when called upon, whenever Zubi is not available or needs a break. Even more important will be Nørgaard's value for the dressing room and the leadership qualities he brings to the table. In addition, he is probably one of the lower earners in the squad. Zubi and Nørgaard are an upgrade on Partey and Jorginho with wages saved at the same time. Great business.

Partey's worth on the pitch cant be measured by stats. Thats pretty obvious. His skillsets in possession is nothing like Nørgaard, way above his level. Let's be real

So it seems Nørgaard is next to be confirmed. Imo not needed, rather use the funds at forwards. But he is good and proven PL player with traits and stats that suggest good fit at CM.
He is a decent back up just like Jorginho nothing more. Plus he cost us peanuts as well.

Decent back up yes, but really needed imo no. MLS can further develop at CM as he was brilliant there at youth levels. There are still Cala, Kiwi, Zinny, Timber to fill in at LB when MLS at CM. Peanuts for Nørgaard from what I read is about 10+2M, thats more than reported 4.3M gap between Arsenal's Gyok bid and what SCP wants. Who knows that 10+2M maybe can help afford Sesko, Ekitike, Rodrygo, Leao, Barcola, etc if Arsenal really bid for them instead of buying unneeded back ups like Nørgaard and even worse Madueke.

MLS is our best LB, he is still very young and got plenty of time to develop and go to CM. A cheap experienced midfielder is what we need at the moment.

He is but imo MLS can be even better at CM. Cala is not much worse LB vs MLS last season and can be just as good as MLS at LB as his last season was his debut EPL season and unlucky with injuries. Therefore a back up CM is a luxury, better spend on elite CF and LW which are desperately needed and will play in much more games than a back up CM. Anyway Nørgaard its here so welcome and good luck to him.

Partey had a good season but I doubt it would continue, and I’m not taking into account personal issues. Bottom line is, we were never going to offer him a bigger salary at 32. Nørgaard is a good squad option without paying crazy salary.

Odd? we have lost 2 midfielders and have brought 2 in, plus a much needed striker. Is this because your boy is getting replaced? Nørgaard is pretty perfect for the role he is going to play.
