Think this window just gone is up there for one of the worst.

Signed some good players for sure but in terms of what we needed vs what we did it’s shocking. How did we make our weakest forward position even weaker? 😂😂

I think you’re just a bit obsessed with transfers and ‘winning the transfer window’ I can think of like 10 worse transfer windows.

Do you people not remember the guys Sven and Raul were signing?

He’s right. Citing the Sven and Raul teams is not relevant, we were finishing mid-table, you sign what you can get.

We went into the summer window in a significant position of power given the season we had + earnings and we messed it up.

Its clear when fans and even the club can see which part of the team is weakest, but end the next transfer window weaker in that part, how can it be considered a strong window?

When you read this forum you’d think we finished 8th last season.

I was here when @Rex Caudillo was bigging up guys like Torreira and Sokratis but now is sh*tting on the champions. What is going on?

Did I ever rate those guys after about 5 games lmao?

We’re talking a year of doodoo from your boy at this point.

We had a great window in terms of names though. Bruno G and Konsa are two very good names and the former is a better player than any of our rivals managed to secure?

stop projecting views onto me, when I post I say what I mean.

The context is we went into the window as champions and you could argue that all we needed was to strengthen the LW, and sign a decent CB/RB. It was a pretty straight forward list and we somehow got weaker in the position we needed to strengthen in

There is no way this transfer window is up there with one of the worst come on man stop it. I get it they should've got another player at LW if they got rid of 2 but there have been like 10 worse transfer windows before this one anyway.

Obviously it's relevant if we're talking about the worst transfer windows, you're too desperate to suck up too Trilly here that you're not even thinking about the point being made.

How is winning the league doodoo? I genuinely don't get why so many of you sh*t on these players all the time like we haven't won the league in 20+ years does that not mean anything?

last two seasons he's played 90 minutes 42 times in each - lots of games without injury.

comes to Arsenal, injured inside 3 months.

presumably this is just luck but it happens so often that it's hard to believe that.

Great reply. I’m a grown man.I don’t suck up to anyone, why the hell would I, I didn’t even @ him you pilchard 🙄

Your point was just complete rubbish. We fumbled the window from a position of power.

There’s many transfer window Arsenal have had that are way worse than this. Disagreeing with that is just pure sucking up.

In a vacuum, yes. We had times when we couldn't really spend money because of the new stadium, when we were getting our players poached by Cheaty and Utd and looking like a Brighton as opposed to a title challenger, times when we were finishing 8th so we weren't the most attractive team, etc. Our windows usually sucked in those times.

But when you bring the context of our current position of strength, being the PL champions and CL runners up with record revenue, it's definitely one of the worst jobs we've ever done in the summer. Bruno G, Konsa, and Tzolis only cover so much ground. We had a chance to really run away with things this season and set ourselves up for another CL bid, but we've set ourselves back instead.

Hopefully we can get it right in January.

Why can’t someone disagree with you without it being a suck-up situation? Do you not see the problems you cause on here

It’s like anytime someone disagrees with you there has to be a non-genuine reason for it.

As I said, we actually signed some very good players this summer. I’ve said this window is up there because of the context. Context is subjective so I don’t care if you disagree, but quite a few people share the opinion that this window was quite bad in terms of the context.
