He's actually very fortunate the way it's panned out for him. He'll get more starts than anyone thought likely and he'll love having such an opportunity at Arsenal.

Which I'm sure he'll embrace as a pro. Are you throwing MLS under the bus too for being equally poor in 1 game against Villa too? Our attack was generally poor against Villa across the board.

We generally play low blocks and Tzolis interplay becomes a strength in such scenarios.

I'm sure Tzolis will perform better if MLS interlinks with him better or if he has Guimares playing him through balls or if Ødegaard doesn't spend all of the game on the right hand side.

They were and I really don't think you understand football. MLS distribution, showing for the ball and link up were poor against Villa. You see what Ødegaard does on the right 8, MLS should be doing more of that as left 8. He was good against Coventry though.

Ødegaard wasn't good though, stats looked good because he held the ball too long, and played it safe. A big reason why Kai was offside so many times. Vegan Boy was too timid to play him on, on time. He shied away from the final third again. Nice free kick attempt but that's about it.

MLS had 8 line breaking passes with a better pass percentage and more defensive contributions than Ødegaard. He was very calm and collected under pressure.

You should watch the games instead of highlight videos.

He looks a good player, but not an elite talent who will always kill it. He will probably put in about as many average performances as he will good this season. But that's fine, that's currently the level he is at and should have been brought in for.

We have unnecessarily thrown him into a situation which no one here on AM can tell me would've wanted for him back when we first signed him. In fact I don't think he even came in expecting to be first choice.

He’s got to be able to shrug off the bad performances and head into the next one. This is the highest level playing for the champions isn’t meant to be easy and that’s what he signed up for. It’s a fantastic opportunity for him if I was him I would have been refreshing the transfer site every minute on deadline day hoping nobody came in so I got my shot. And here it is.

It is poor squad building but it’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good. He is the biggest beneficiary of this.

This is why you clearly don't know ball. MLS passes were safe, secure but achieved nothing of a creative note

A line breaking is a pass that moves the ball 12 yards forward beyond an opposition player. That's all it achieved, if MLS did 8 line breaking passes they were passes to a person 12 yards in front of him to feet, which is average to useless for a midfielder

I watched the game, like a typical American you watched the stats after them and misinterpretted them as good. How good do you think Rice's distribution was? He made 16 line breaking passes.
