Interesting that he cites Villa as an inspiration. I’m not a fan of small strikers, but when the discussion is about David Villa, he is one of the best in the business. He’s up there with Agüero and Owen. Back to Tzolis, I'd like to see him play up front this preseason. I'm not sure he has the burst to bypass PL fullbacks, but he is technically clean enough to keep the ball if he drops deep in the middle. He looks like the ESR/Iwobi Hale-Ender type who loves a give-and-go. Definitely an interesting tidbit. I wish more footballers would call out the players they wish to emulate or whom they consider their comps. I know Garnacho is delusional enough to call himself the new CR7 if you got him on a mic and podcast.

Looked utterly dire in 1 on 1 situations today. But it was a glorified fitness session and everyone looked ****.

We hog the ball around opposition box who defend deep. Our players don't need pace because there is zero space to run into anyway. Counter attacks are a foreign concept to us. High IQ players with good close control, decision making who can shoot straight are what works for us.

Just hoping he's one of those system players that looks ridiculously good for us because it's a perfect match. Otherwise feeling a bit nauseous when I think about what we could be witnessing on that left wing this season.
