Haven't checked previous pages so maybe another Bruges fan already gave some background.

But this guy is the real deal. The best winger I've ever seen play for us (I'm a Bruges fan) and that includes Perisic.
The stats don't lie. Christos ALWAYS delivers. His goal/assist output is ridiculous.
Lethal in front of goal, skilful, a hard worker. And just a genuine nice guy. I'm sorry but this guy is better than Trossard and if you ask me it's not even close.

Check our last three games to get an idea of his qualities

Obviously I'm a little biased but considering how much of a beast this guy is 40 mil looks like a steal.

Best since Perisic is high praise.

why we don't try for Said El Mala after he try to scam Brentford to bring his bro with him? the deal seem dead, and if Arsenal want him he'd tell his bro to f**k off he won't want to ruin this chance. he young and lot of potential play in better league even tho bumliga is not much difference that belgium league because one team dominating still the quality is better. also did i mention he like 6'2? 😅

also similar price range maybe El Mala will cost 5M more. for 35M-40M to me he more better backup option than Tzolis.

the Tzolis saga seem it's just Berta putting names out and there and when it's time to move he'll decide what to do.

He looks like a pure counter attacker goalscorer, Tzolis is much better in chance creation and great in build up in small spaces

How does he compare to Tresoldi? I remember he was also linked with us earlier on.

I came away from your 3 videos being more impressed with Vanaken lmao

El Mala is a good choice, even better goal + assists per 90 than YanD, very close physically to Rogers, but plays a bit like Barcola. Problem is he is less elite dribbling winger than most LW options so may not be as useful against low blocks, but he made end products very well at LW and CF. Look possible to convert into a good CF. Won't say no to him coming after YanD or Barcola.

Tzolis looks the best LW in Belgium, but its a weaker league than Germany, French, even maybe Dutch league, so I expect some hard work adapting to EPL or just proven to be unlikely to be elite at EPL level, just like Gyok came from Portugal. Arsenal need an elite world class LW and considering coming from Belgium its pretty doubtful that Tzolis is close to that level.

Yeah Vanaken is the goat. Absolute Club legend
Tzolis is a more fully developed product than Tresoldi. Tresoldi should preferably stay another year at Bruges progression wise. Tzolis is ready for the next step. I understand that it’s a huge step to go the the PL champion but if I see your current wingers I truly think he can deliver at that level or better. I forgot to add that he’s great at set pieces too.
Dutch level is lower than Belgian btw if you ask me. Belgian footbal way more tactical/physical.

Relatively young and cheap winger with a seemingly very high potential upside.

Doesn’t seem like a particularly risky signing, and importantly doesn’t seem to be getting in the way of more marquee signings.

Seems a smart, shrewd piece of business. Surprised to see so much dissent around this one. I thought the “get them in cheap BEFORE they blow up” crew would be all over it.

Get them cheap and as teenagers/early twenties before they blow up.

This guy is 24 playing in the Belgian league. There isn’t any development left to go. If he was 21 putting these numbers up then I’d call it a top signing.

I think saying there isn’t any development to be made at 24 (despite him clearly developing still year on year) ignores way too many phenomenal “late bloomers” that it can’t be true as a rule.

To name a few, what was Vardy doing at 24? Salah? Mahrez? All developed massively post 24…

Anyways, cheap, doesn’t get in the way of marquee signings, potentially high upside = low risk. What’s wrong with that?

EDIT: laughing that Gyokeres is also a great example of this right now, who for all his faults just helped lead us to our first title in decades. And Raya!

EDIT #2: am I losing my mind! Do players not develop after they turn 24?!

Not often! But it does happen.

FWIW Mahrez had world class technique and would have had that even in his Ligue 2 days and Vardy had world class pace.

I’ve finally watched a clip and I can see what @A_G means. I see a guy with solid ball striking off either foot and decent dribbling. I don’t see an attribute that’s clearly elite regardless of the difficulty of the league. I don’t really see elite dribbling that’s going to let him take advantage of his shooting and while his crossing/passing is good I’m not seeing anything that makes me say wow.

It doesn’t mean he won’t be good for us but it’s kind of suggesting that the best case we get is a player like Trossard and that’s with the massive assumption that he’ll adapt to the PL. Every winger I’m interested in for us has at least one attribute that is PL level or is already doing decently well in a top5 league.

I’ve only watched his highlights atm, next step would be to watch some full match comps to see how good his decision making but I’m hoping this is just Berta agreeing personal terms with his plan D target.

Are you old enough to remember how Tross performed in the Belgian league to compare them? I know Tross left about the same age Tzolis is now. I also know Tzolis raw G/A are better but obviously more to football than that

Barcola is the same age and hasn't really done it against top top teams either for the most part.

Yes there's maybe some understandable scepticism why he isn't at a better club aged 24. But Mo Salah's first noteworthy season came when he was about 23 at Roma and he didn't move to Liverpool until he was 25 and nothing screamed world beater at the time.

Also if you think Arteta is bringing teenagers and 20yos with no minutes into regular playing time you haven't been paying attention.

He plays in a top5 league and for a top team though. Are you saying Tzolis is as proven as Barcola?

WTF is this 'Top 5 league' though. Players outside of PL struggle to handle the PL. Sure the top teams in France are better than the top teams in Belgium

Tzolis scored against Atletico, 2 v PSV, 2 v Besiktas, Rangers, Sweden + an assist, 1 goal 2 assists against Aderlect

Tzolis is better than Trossard at that age for sure. I can’t stress this enough but Tzolis is by far the best player in the Belgian league at the moment. It’s not even close and he has been like that for basically two seasons. Trossard didn’t have that level that he was carrying the team like Tzolis has been doing. And a big difference is that Tzolis already proved it in the CL which Trossard never played any min in. I see a lot of criticism about Tzolis his game against Arsenal but he proved in other CL games he is ready for that level (goals against Atletico and Atalanta this season).
We fired our coach three days before the Arsenal game. Just not a fair comparisson to value him only based on that game.

Looks solid technically, good final ball and finishing. If Trossard leaves, we need someone who can operate in tight spaces in and around the box.
