I think this is the bit people are struggling to come terms with. He just doesn’t rate Eze. If Eze was success they wouldn’t be looking at Rogers

Ezes a moments player. Came up big in some critical games, CP, both Sp**s derbys and that I believe winning goal against Newcastle.

The biggest issue I find with eze he simply doesn't get on the ball enough. Whenever he's on it, you think something will happen.

His best quality is definitely his linkup play and helping the team build up in the opponents half. Good connector and doesn't lose the ball but that's largely because his first instinct is to find a teammate rather than take on his man. He's not a classic winger but more of an AM wide player hybrid that Wenger used to love.

The question is how effective will he be to get shots off and take advantage of his finishing ability as well as making assists. If he's productive, none of it really matters.

Apparently, the scout who has recommended him is the guy who unearthed Kvaradona.

This deal feels far from a foregone conclusion. If he was seen as Trossard's replacement we would've signed him already.
