Cobra Kai Havertz: Kai The Redeemer

Hazertz scored 8 goals and assisted 7 over the 13 games he played as CF for us last season. And he offers a lot more than just goals and assists in that position. His hold up play is excellent, he is good in the air and he creates space for other players.

I'd be totally happy to go into the new season without signing a CF, provided we get an additional high quality wide player (e.g. Eze) to provide depth. And provided Arteta doesn't randomly play Havertz in midfield again, but given his form up front I don't think that is likely. Martinelli and Trossard were also as productive from the left between them as Saka was from the right so we have plenty of wide goals. We just need quality depth.

This is decent:
CF: Havertz (Jesus)
LW: Martinelli/Trossard
RW: Saka (Eze)
AM: Ødegaard (Eze/Vieira)

Does he have the support of the fan base tho? I love him personally but just in here you have several guys pretending he’s no better than Sanogo ffs

90% of German fans wanted him to be benched for West Ham new striker. You can’t guilt trip fans to be fans of his if he isn’t delivering enough. A good striker should get minimum 20 league goals for arsenal. That’s minimum

Jesus is **** according to your standard, even when he was fit, when he first joined us.

In the last 20 seasons we only had players score 20+ league goals on 7 occasions. 2 of those were from Henry. In the last 10 seasons it was only 3 times. So history isn't too kind to Arsenal's forwards and especially CFs.

Get him! Cancel him, Attack Him, whoever that bugger was that compared that genius Kai to Sanogo! Kai is German as he is shanking chances and destroying the build up unlike Sanogo was when he did the exact same things.

This thread of people thinking Kai was a success; and that we don’t desperately need a striker to replace him; is where the true deluded cultists dwell. These guys got a double dose of the Kool Ade Mik is serving. Destroyed our title last year his little reclamation project.

i also agree with GZ

i've done a complete 180 on him vs. my comments from day 1 which were harsh to say the least

we need to recruit cover at ST given nketiah's imminent departure and the need for multiple strong options through the course of a season

but i think he's transformed into one of our key players

I'm not pro Havertz, though he's good for the squad.
We cant talk ourselves that he's "him" though (Cultured members get this).
We must add an attacker.

Unless and this is a long one , Jesus Stays fit and Martinelli scores atleast 16 goals this upcoming season ,
that way what Haverts can do plus Tross and Saka being himself can lead us to the 2025 chip.

But lets add a forward!!

Chelsea are lucky they got Palmer. Otherwise selling Havertz and replacing him with the likes of Mudryk, Madueke, Jackson and perma-injured Nkunku would be another big L for that club.

Just after we signed Kai and everyone was losing their **** I said he would get 15-20 goals for us. Big tick, he also scored so many important goals.

This season I think everyone expects him to maybe drop off or do similar.

I think he’s going to explode, he looks leaner, sharper, hungrier and quicker. With a regular role up front I’m expecting 20 league goals from Havertz.

It’ll shock everyone, and everyone will say what a genius Mikel is for getting a 20 + goal a season striker out of Kai.

It won't shock me if he's 20+. The contingency would be how often he plays in midfield. He played in midfield against Leverkuson but still managed a goal and 2 assists. If he gets 20+ while playing mostly in midfield, he'd essentially become our version of Lampard.

It seems our players are seeing his runs more because all 3 of those goals were a result of his movement into space. His off the ball runs are genuinely world class.

Love this, Lampard (without the decent long range passing etc) is a great shout for Kai from midfield.

I think he’ll probably alternate between striker and LCM depending on others fitness.
