Cobra Kai Havertz: Kai The Redeemer

Havertz received a high bouncing ball with his back to goal, great first touch to get it under control, turns and shoots a volley, provided a great save by the keeper to stop him scoring. If he scores that he'd be a Bergkampesque hero of the day. I think that needs to be added to give balance to his fluffed goal and tbf to Havertz if Jesus squares it to him as he should of done, it would of been a better goal.

That volley attempt made me laugh because it was about the only time in the match he hit a shot cleanly and it's the type of attempt that if he'd have scuffed or miscued it, it would have gone in

He's not perfect and there are flaws in his game but I really like him.

I don’t think I’ll ever be fully convinced he’s the solution at 9 for us.

I feel the evolution of this team is to get Kai as a rotation option.

Mikel already tried to get Sesko last summer, when he gets his hands on his ideal striker it's over for Kai at 9 I think

Maybe

You're wrong, no?
I don't care about his goals, most of his goals are nothing you can count on and stuff we would see Nketiah scoring before him, and usually, we get punished by stronger teams where he is -1 (Porto, Bayern, City)

I want him to improve in duels, for a player of his size, he is an absolute poverty in duels other than winning a few headers where the ball bounces randomly. That could require some gym work but something has to change if he wants to be our long term starting forward. If he starts to dominate in duels that's something we could build our game around rather than hopping for a fluke goal

Jesus is the exact opposite, bullies defenders constantly but the guy will probably end up this season with 0 goals.

I can't fault his overall effort. It's just his finishing ability or lack of. Auba dropped off in 2021, so it's been a while since we had a proper forward. For now, I hope he finds a way, any way in fact, to put the ball in the net.

Easy to see what a good fit Sesko would be - still inconsistent, but all his goals this season for club and country have been really good...being 6"5 and able to bang one in from 25 yards or dribble past 4 players is very tantalising. Like a quicker but less refined young Zlatan.

No one agrees on what strikers should do because there’s so many things they can do. Easily highest skill ceiling position very few players in history who can do all/most of what’s possible in the position.

Havertz looks like a bum in certain situations like pretty much everyone else bar the super elite. Most people in this country just happened to be obsessed with the finishing (which is important ofc).

Just one more to go and he will have pulled out the uno reverse card on the 007 meme and dunked it on @A_G 🙏

Bro there’s literally a hundred names I’d rather sign than pay £70m to Chelsea for Kai Havertz 😭😭

People talking about Arteta unlocking him like he’s some kind of chastity belt ffs

Arsenal Quotes

The club changed so much, I changed with it and football has changed with us... But one thing never changes: the 90 minutes still belong to the player, 90 minutes during which he is king.
