Cobra Kai Havertz: Our Nine Or Nein?

Reeling from Laca & Kos nightmares
Kai is not in our best 3 players and it’s becoming embarrassing how our fans overhype him now. Yes he got too much criticism early on, but they are taking it too far to the other side now. He only has 4 league goals including that lucky Leicester goal
4 goals in 7 games is a good return though, you're acting like it's March already.

What a silly statement.

4 goals in 7, better than a goal every other game and you think that can be criticised? Extrapolate that over 38 games and that is 22 league goals for the season. Guess you wouldn't even be happy with that.
Yes equal with Chris wood and Liam Delap and 2 behind mbuemo. If arsenal striker is equal with Ipswich and Forrest striker and 2 behind Brentford striker he’s not having a great season. Again I like the guy, but people in here are overhyping him based on some sort of defence for the attacks he received early on

He is equal with Mo Salah too but ofcourse that wouldn't suit your argument. Regardless of that, only 4 players have scored more than Havertz so I take it apart from them everyone else is having a bad season.

Your boy Nico Jackson is on 4G + 3A in the PL and had 14G + 5A last season yet he’s viewed as the laughing stock by many football fans. Hmmmm….

The fact we constantly compare Jackson to Havertz prove my point. Jackson even managed more league goals last season and no one says Jackson is good enough to lead the line for a team than can win the league. Havertz is good, just not as good as some of our fans make him out to be. They are setting him up for failure the way they are hyping him

Bit concerned about how hard he runs and how much he plays, but barring injuries I think he’s gonna prove you wrong you know.

Enjoying your work a bit more these days not quite the purely negative bore fest it was.

I think because Jesus has basically become a nothing player Havertz will be run to the ground and I fear by end of the season guys like him and saka won’t have anything left. Wanting another striker is not a slight on Havertz. We need someone to share the burden with him

True. We've been fortunate that one of Kai's strength is his stamina and durability. Everybody gets tired eventually. Even the most fit. There is no option as a backup for him for what he brings.

A lot of teams struggle to find a starting striker and most of this forum is desperate for a third one. Is there enough quality on the market? Nobody asks that

More reason to get Jesus back to a good standard, and being able to properly deputise for Havertz in the league and champions league.

Like I've said to you in our previous discussions, you want the likes of Jesus, Sterling, Trossard, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, all have important contributions to make across the season. Where are likely to play another 50 games overall.

It takes a different set of skills to lead the line for Arsenal. I hope you realize that the opposition Chelsea face weekly is very different to ours. Chelsea forwards don't face a low block every week and have more space to operate in.

It's nonsensical to compare Havertz and Jackson, especially based on stats.

I’m pretty sure they face same exact opposition that we do playing in the same league. We don’t face low blocks every week. If we do how come Chelsea has way more possession than us? Opponents has more of the ball playing us than Chelsea

He hasn't played striker all the time though, Jebum has had a lot of the striker minutes. Havertz has been playing deeper after Ødegaard got injured. So he should also be judged based on that.

This team is talented enough to survive injuries.

Saka was out last year and we beat City without him.

We have plenty of CBs on the squad if Saliba were to go down.

The world was coming to an end if Ødegaard doesn't stay healthy. Arteta barely plays the kid that backs him up and we still are unbeaten.

Everybody just knew when our 100+ mil Declan Grealish was out, we'd get destroyed by Sp**s with Jorginho and Partey in midfield. We got a clean sheet.

We have a collection of good players. Guys go down, people step up.
Why did you call him Declan Grealish? 🤣
