liverpool lose in community shield last summer but still failed won premier league end of the season & even worst they finished 5th won nothing after spent 500m

and i know pep never won community shield when 4 peat but that because he just too good & had world class squad

so in the end quality manager & quality squad is the reason club can win or lose premier league title regardless what happen in community shield, even pep still won the league in 18/19 after won community shield in summer 2018

This is just a glorified friendly for me. The last CS between us was so much more than that given we hadn't beaten them in a competitive fixture for so long + being unexpected title challengers the season before.

The roles are somewhat reversed this time - Maresca will want to lay down a marker whereas we're clearly going to ease into the season.

We need to start slapping teams around even in friendlies. City in particular need to be put back in their true bottom feeding place.

We don't need anymore psychological edge against this lot. They pulled us back to evens with 5 games to go and then we blew them out in a 5 game shoot out winning by 7 points. Their hold over us should be done.

People complain about the Wembley Way queue but queuing for Cardiff Central is just as annoying.

This game to me still and will ever be pre season friendly but with bit competitive edge I hope players don't get over emotional dont need some silly injury we have another 60 games season Arteta will probably use Saka Rice Zubi for 20-25 minutes like been doing with players that come late.
