We get the ball rolling under the lights with the world to see but I see us going here and getting the result if Iā€™m being honest.

Stick to the same as lineup as above with Fabio Vieira hopefully getting some minutes and Tomiyasu on the bench.

Going for Palace 1-3 Arsenal

KDB is a generational player.

Hard to compare an attacking midfielder to a striker. KDB is a quality player but personally I donā€™t think Iā€™ve seen anyone bar Thierry Henry in the PL reach the heights of that Luis Suarez season in 13/14.

Ridiculous season. 31 goals and 17 assist in the PL only for Steven Gerrard to slip and cost them the title.

Canā€™t understand the negativity over a 0-2 win away from home on the first game of the season. After the way we started last season, this is a great result and considering Palace took 4 points off us last season and Vieira has got them playing really well, I donā€™t think we should have any reason to complain.

Every single addition to the squad that played yesterday had a good game and I think improve us from last season. It is just the first game so Iā€™m not getting too carried away though, but letā€™s be positive!

Being positive over a 2-0 win makes you a w*nker, apparently! Who knew?

Come on mate! I know you want to **** on Arteta, but get a grip. We won 2-0! Sure, it could have been a draw, but that would have been unlucky, or even a loss, but that would have been unjust. With your logic we could have been 3 or 4 nil up at half time and game over. You are just reaching and stating hypotheticals.

Calling it "I just state what I see" is totally disingenuous. You want to **** on Arteta at any turn. Just admit it and then make your statements. Would be more believable and someone might actually take your posts seriously.
Did you watch the game?

Arteta in mob voluntarily disclosing they are w*nkers, progress.

Tbh I think a 2 - 0 at Selhurst park is a fantastic result and it's a little harsh to be critical of it (I think many teams will struggle there).

But I'm 100% here for comments like this.

First half we outplayed them, second half we just refused to be out battled...really happy with this game, confused why other people are not.

Reminded me of our win away to Villa in 2007/2008...first half they couldn't get a kick, played some of the best football I have seen...second half was all them, but Kolo and the defence were brilliant...matches in the Prem are like that.

This has given me a lot of confidence, ngl...feel are gonna finally get back to the Champions League this season!

Encouraging yes, if you are looking at our maximum potential as battling out with Sp**s, United and possibly Chelsea as well.

The problem I have is that we far more capable than that overall display. Those first 25-30 minutes of football is the quality and ability of this side. We should be doing that for 90 minutes.

Agree with EBL here.

Gary Neville is probably irredeemable at this point. Unbelievable levels of stupidity on the regular now. What a ****ing dummy, and whatā€™s sad is that I think his opinion on Arsenal is likely driven by jealousy and envy.

He knows as a footballing institution we tower above Utd, particularly under Wenger were we would win titles playing exquisite football whilst getting the S kicked out of us, meanwhile they played kick and cross guff whilst being handed penalties during "fergie time" and could only compete with us by fouling constantly whilst a bias ref lets them do it (game 50). Carragher is just bitter because he never won a title so has a inferiority complex.

Gary is a lost yute, someone stick him in an old people's home he's done.

Arsenal twitter are going to be in for a big shock when they actually watch Vieira. He's not really all that different to Ƙdegaard. Hell, I'd argue that he gives the ball away more.

People seem to be thinking we've got some press resistant Cazorla/Nasri/Bernardo Silva type. He's not, he's probably closer to Bruno than them.

This is why we need more dribblers who can play in our front 5 IMO. We need to be in a position where players can create more space for each other, by dragging markers out of position.

This is why I think we need someone more technical than Tielemans, who has an eye for a pass and excellent close control. Pairing them with a "less technical" player like Ƙdegaard/Vieira is better to me.

Edu knows how we need. He needs to go and get him. He's been looking to the right nation for reinforcements.
