When have Sp**s ever won trophies. They never even made the CL regularly. They used to be sort of a whipping stick for the bigger PL clubs, but now they're regularly getting results against everyone in PL and CL. You cant see progress because it reflects negatively on Wenger.

Sure they've progressed and are better than they've been in a very long time. The problem comes when people try to use Sp**s as something we should be envious of, acting like they are where we want to be. The truth is if we had performed similarly to Sp**s the last 5 years no one would be happy and rightly so.

Also let's not forget the media/pundits/fans claimed Sp**s were the best team in the league from 15-17, not winning the league or even anything during that period while supposedly being the best team in the league surely counts as underachieving.

Wenger from 06-11 >>> What Poch is currently doing with Sp**s. Better Pl campaign, better Cl campaign, , harder working conditions. Yet all people cared about was the lack of trophies, but with Poch that suddenly doesn't matter.

We've underachieved massively the last 5 years, don't need to compare us to Sp**s to realise that, as they have only been 'great' compared to what they used to be.

Yeah, thats what I'm saying as well. Sp**s are better than what they were, and we're worse than what we were. Right now we're roughly at the same level, but with different growth trajectories. Anyway... Welbeck

I think about performances, not necessarily points. For example the Bayern defeats have been a really bad low point last year. Wenger is probably the only manager in the league who has chosen all of his players - why are we rebuilding? Also shouldn't we be rebuilding to compete for the title?
Wenger's been here years, he has to rebuild from time to time as players are injured, lose form or get too old. And by God have we had some injuries.

He's in that Walcott / Ox class of lots of chances to show something but too inconsistent and / or injury prone. Many many many better options out there.

It's easy with players like Welbeck. Has he had lots of chances? Yes. Are there better players out there without breaking the bank? Yes. Move him on and move forward.

I'm worried Wenger might be too loyal to him though and not be ruthless enough:

Those injuries ended his career really, Nketiah should be ahead of him now, he's got nothing to offer at his current state.

Incredible that we`ve had six top class or at least very good players who all had their careers here pretty much ended or at least severely hampered by injuries. Thinking about Diaby, Eduardo, Rosicky, Walcott, Welbeck and Santi.

Rebuilding doesn't equal replacing players for me. Of course it's natural that we progress with our squad, injuries occur, players get old, but not in the same time, and rebuilding looks like the result of bad planning.

It's Wenger, of course he gonna say that and play him despite the end being nigh. He wanted to keep Giroud and Walcott too .

Wenger's always been loyal to a fault. Gift and a curse.

We've bought a few players that haven't turned out too good as well, as all teams do. Transfer business is a bit of a lottery.

Yes it is. But other teams are pretty quicker in finding that the player is dross and offload him immediately. But Wenger keeps faith in the players. He is making the club sacrifice matches just so that some players can have better careers.

Sp**s have a great coach that gets the best of what he has (which is not much really). Whereas Wenger is pure waste these days . Wenger is now failing every single player lately. Giroud's reverse Brexit shows even the french don't trust Wenger anymore, and that can only mean one thing. 70th Birthday will be his final 70th min. substitution when Wenger retires himself out of the game.

Jesus christ I get physically ill and quite angry just thinking about this absolute clown.

He cannot play for Arsenal ever again. We have to use Özil as a false 9, or Miki as a forward, until Laca is back. We sold Walcott and kept this clown.

He is nowhere near PL level, I doubt he would stand out in the Championship. The ostersund strikers were superior to him. And to think he makes more than that enitre team combined, what an absolute fraud. Any other person would be fired from their job a long time ago if they performed like this.

Easily on of the 10 worst players in the Wenger era. Chamakh and Gervinho doesnt even come close. Why the fck did we loan out Perez and keep this idiot?

Seriously Ive had it with welbeck, JUST FÜCK OFF

He was fine at the beginning of the season, wasn't he? Don't think the knee injuries are to blame.

Still hasn't signed a new contract though, hopefully with PEA and Lacazette both above him his looking for a new club.

He's way out of his depth at this stage. He might even struggle at his next PL club, there are only a few clubs you'd say he would start for on current form. That's if they're willing to pay his wages.
