Thats cause we already know Welbeck's a poor finisher. Lacazette still hasn't established his level. Personally I feel more surpised when welbeck puts one in rather than missing. Love Welbz though, for the other qualities he brings to the team.

On one hand I think that's a fair point but on the other it does indicate a lowered level of expectations that I am not sure is a good thing no?

Really surprised to see Lacazette getting stick from Arsenal fans for missing that very tough rebound shot when Welbeck missing a sitter of a header is not discussed at all.

Giroud absolutely would have scored off Welbeck's clear chance and Lacazette probably would have.

Anyone ignoring Welbeck's miss of a higher percentage chance but mentioning Lacazette missing a much more difficult shot has a clear agenda.

Lacazette has got off easy compared to what would have happened if Welbeck or Giroud missed that chance..

Welbeck's chance was hardly a sitter, he would have needed a great header to score that.. Lacazette on the other hand should have scored.. It happens to everyone though, even Henry, Ronaldo, Messi etc have missed sitters before.

At what point do you still subject players to the rigors of top flight football and training? and expect them to be back to the standard we require and demand of them?

I mean if somebody gets tackled and breaks a leg is one thing, but repeated wear and tear injuries takes it toll

we cannot alllow the club to be filled with players not able to play

sure you make a plan and have a squad that should be able to handle an injury here or there but we have too many

sadly ironic that Welbeck is one of those guys because he is a physical and athletic guy and my usual complaint is that wenger buys too many technically gifted playmaker types that are less physically imposing so we are overly exposed to having an injury filled squad

Not much use having 'squaddie' that can't stay fit. Feel sorry for him after playing his way into the team but his injuries are becoming a concern.

Hope it's an actual four weeks not more, can't deny that we look like a quality unit in big games with him in the side.

It's all about goodwill. After a certain while it gets eroded away. Lacazette is new, has a few good finishes and tons of goodwill. Sanchez gets goodwill for constantly losing the ball becuase he delivers. A string of misses coupled with poor performances and Lacazette will be turned on in a heartbeat here.

I like what Danny brings to the party. He will never be a cool finisher and his injury concerns override everything. A couple more big injuries and it's game over for him.

basically getting fcuked every year since 2011. That's a huge chunk of development time.

Why so serieuse?
His injury is unfortunate, but on the other hand its a good opportunity for Sanchez to stake a claim for a first team role. I've got great expectations from him.
