Both him and Sokratis looked excellent tonight. It's almost as if a bit of coaching can sort out a lot of the defensive issues we've been seeing all season. Well not for Mustafi, he's beyond help.

I'll also mention that now we have a proper system you can sort of see why it was a good buy in terms of his passing.

I lost count of how many times we skewered Manyoo like kebab from a single Luiz pass into the left hand side, something simple but makes such a big difference.

as he said in his interview he believes in the philosophy and he is happy. And it shows. he said something like when you goto bed happy you sleep happy better than going to bed sad and sleep sad for 8 hours.

The players believe. Theyve bought into Arteta. Its great to see how having a manager people believe in can make a difference and lift players up levels.

That's the thing for me. You can see they've bought into his philosophy which is ****ing excellent when you think he's only a few years older than some of them.

It's mainly the structure of the whole team in general.

Yep. Defense & midfield form a much more compact unit, and the team moves more in accordance with each other when they don't have the ball. Less pressure on the center-backs.

The way the team was set up under Emery, you really needed herculean performances from the center-backs to make it work and we didn't have the personnel to provide such herculean performances.

He was outstanding and very telling on how much Arteta demands of these players physically. Can't wait to see this system implemented with our players fit and back from injury. Up and onwards, David!

Cheating on Santi

That's an interesting quote.
He says we're not physically ready. Except Aubameyang who looks like he's our only player who can play for 90 min at high intensity, Pepe Lacazette Özil Torreira all struggle to keep up for 90 min.

I wonder what our staff has done last summer.
