Well at the very least he is a ball playing CB and Emery is insistent on playing out from the back, would say he would be our 2nd best defender if he joined, also we versed in playing in a back 3.

For me this entirely depends on length of contract, if its 2 years on a reasonable wage for 10m fine, any longer or higher fee then would rather just stick with what we have.

Also, didn't Emery sell him to Chelsea when he joined PSG? or did dream taht?

Emery will love his range of passing with this passing out from the back stuff.

David Luiz is probably the best ball playing CB in the league.

To be fair so was Lich last year. And it´s not like Xhaka was our first choice LB.

Injuries/suspensions at Sokratis and Holding and we have Luiz/Mustafi starting.

Luiz can also pay fullback & defensive midfield so personally don't think its as bad a signing as some are making out. You would take him all day if it meant selling Mustafi (which might and could still happen).

People really believe Mustafi will be a starter next season?

Exactly... he is very very good in that, actually is something we lack, that make it so much easier for midfield. It helps playing so much faster as well.

I take him over Rugani 100% ... PL experience at the back is so important if we are not going for super talented young CB.

He’s 5th choice if we get another CB. He won’t even make the bench most weeks.

He will play a lot of games. Holding is out for a while and Sokratis will pick up plenty of cards.

The best news would be, that with Luiz in the starting eleven, we could benched Xhaka.

Luiz, Sokratis, Chambers and Holding before we even think of using Mustafi in a serious fixture. Heck if we were really short we could just use Monreal too. Mustafi would be sold if any club actually wanted him and Mustafi didn't want to stay here for some strange reason.

Chambers will go before him in line, if Mustafi somehow manages not to be sold.

Maybe as sub RB or starting Capital One games. But I would definitely sell him. Maybe that way I would take Rugani but only if Luiz comes.

Mustafi is a better defender than Luiz, guys. Yeah he’s the best CB on the ball but so would Coutinho if you put him at CB. Luiz can’t defend for **** and has no positional awareness.

He'll assist Aubameyang more than Özil will this season.
