Btw Raya looks like someone who doesn't perform good under pressure. When Ramsdale was his n2 , he made some horrific mistakes. Once he got established as the clear n1 , he was one of our best players. Interesting to see the dynamics. 1 shot 1 goal a game for the opposition is worrying. However Kepa showed how subpar he is with feet so I personally expect Raya to keep his place bar some really really poor form.

People talking like he’s Alumina level bad, when he was one of, if not thee, best performing keeper last season.
I’ll say this again - people on this forum, that know ****all about goalkeeping, have been brainwashed into believing Martinez is the best in the world, when in reality he’s leaving Villa and no club is interested - the so called ‘best keeper in the world’ and no club wants him. Yet guess who is top of Real Madrids list of goalkeeper targets - Raya.
But people on here think he’s easy to upgrade on.

I was critical of Raya's poor performance in his first. Raya started his second season in great form up until around Christmas then the lacks of concentration and mistakes came back in with Raya being poor until the end of season were picked up form for a few games.

Yes defense play big part but doesn't mean Raya overrated last season he had lot of games where he saved us

He was almost never once a starter keeper in his whole career of like 20 clubs. He hardly even played enough for anybody to criticize him.

Ramsdale less error prone? Have a ****ing word with yourself. There’s a reason he played for a relegated team and the only team interested only wants a loan.
Manninger was a great backup throughout his career, nothing more.

He had me with Seaman and Lehmann, almost lost me entirely with Ramsdale, brought me back a little bit with Szczesny, lost me a little bit with Leno...then confused the hell out of me with Manninger of all people lol.
