Onana has better expected goal prevented tho, the highest in the league and like you said the higher number of cleansheets.

Onana may have conceded more Goals, that's mainly because united is a **** team.

Make no mistake, i rate raya higher and I believe raya to be the better keeper but I think onana has been the better performing keeper in the league this season, closely followed by Raya.

Teams show you what they think of goalkeepers - Onana is very good shot stopper this season but he has zero presence and command of his box which is a significant factor. We continued to drop our corners right on his head because we know he's terrible with dealing with them.

I'm going to shamelessly pull this up from last year - always believed in T-Raya

My prediction is that we'll all be comfortable with Raya by the end of the season.

Bookmark this - happy to be ridiculed if it's not the case.

I think you're sticking your neck on the line for a poor goalkeeper. My opinion btw

I think he's quality - I was convinced he was a good keeper based on his performances with Brentford. I think he's had a bit of an adjustment period coming here but I can see signs he's starting to piece it together.

Onana has probably been better this season but raya is better overall

Disagree, Raya has made some insane saves this season, Onana doesn't make that many saves that you wouldn't expect him to make. Also Raya is way more commanding on crosses and set pieces, look how passive Onana was against us on our corners, we could have scored 5.

Raya is a better GK than Onana,,on all the apects you mentioned also the modern need for distribution from the back via feet.

Raya and Onana comparisons? lol

Onana is good playing from the back and ball at his feet. That is about it in terms of his consistency. He is slow to react to shots and his mistakes can just kill a team's momentum and opportunity to win. The Forest goal kicked right to him that he missed was a prime example. Wasting 43 seconds at the end of the Forest game when they needed to score was another.

The other comparison would be Ederson but he has been benched. lol

Stakes are high and you can't afford mistakes from your Goalkeeper. Look at Kelleher against Newcastle not saving the cross. Cost them 2 points.

This is why we moved on from Ramsdale. GK's make mistakes but just can't make the backbreaking ones that cost you games.

Raya is at the top of his game and among the best in goalkeeping.

Is there a convo to be had?
With the defending? Definitely. Awful from the lot of them, most notably Kiwior and Timber. Raya, however, can’t be blamed. He can’t cover more to his right as he leaves the near post exposed, can’t narrow the angle as Jimenez has time he could chip him etc. Not taking anything away from Jimenez though - excellent finish.

Sometimes you just have to give credit where it's due. That was a great strike. You're talking maybe Courtois that could get to that and probably nobody else.
Not sure even Courtois saves it - nightmare for a keeper with the angle and time Jimenez has. If Raya had got a hand to it and kept it out, it would be up there as one of the saves of the season.

He’s not saving a lot is he? Feel looking back at some of the goals we’ve conceded he could do much better.

Arsenal Quotes

I believe one of the best things about managing people is that we can influence lives in a positive way. That’s basically what a manager is about. When I can do that, I am very happy.
