Why not try to get a couple million? Wtf.

Only reason would be his bad injuries not to extend.
Why?! Because no one will buy him on his wages and then we’ll be stuck paying him for another year is why…

Benfica are not willing to sell. The player has a release clause that can be met which Chelsea are not meeting for fear of it messing up their scheme to get around FFP. Still they're in another country trying until the last minute while this gimp Edu can't take a drive to the coast.
They are willing to sell if the release clause it met. That's why it's there in the first place. If they weren't willing to sell they wouldn't still be having discussions about how tye payment will be done

They might also do a "Cazorla" for a long-timer servant.

He can be also loaned. He is a good player for other leagues, and might take a wage drop to play next season.

I trust the club on this one, you guys can panic all you want.

Lol man. You crack me up. Your optimism is really sth else
It's a fact. If Holding would be coming to last year of contract, they would extend if he had an option for another year. Brighton did for Trossard or would have if not sold, but it was leverage for them. Don't understand why this is funny to you, it has nothing to do with optimism.
