I have read someone here suggesting to send Saliba to Madrid for Rodrygo plus Guler and we to sign Huijsen. Its like the perfect solution to fix our current problems and still have enough dry powder going for Isak?

No that stupid suggestion. If we sell Saliba I'd rather have 100M on bank and work buying our targets than swapping players.

Perez will never do that also.

Huijsen is quality, long time not seen a central defender being 2 footed and such quality long ball passes. Happy that City went for the clown Khusanov instead of this guy. Also hope that he does not go to a EPL rival.

I wouldn't mind if he is Saliba's replacement. In 3 years time, he will be where Saliba is now. Next to Gabriel, Huijsen will look as good as Saliba.

your argument spesific that bold text (i made that bold text) which make me want him so bad LOL even i really hate if we buy another defender 🤣 🤣 , HOPEFULLY BERTA CAN GET HIM

Huijsen, while good and very promising, is still more of a prospect. He's the type of player Arteta would be sending on loan to Marseille this season. Saliba is world class.

Also, you never know how the chemistry will work. Saliba and Gabriel have excellent chemistry.

No keep Saliba, we want to be improving not weakening the team. Sometimes we seem to forget what we've got.
this, i agree, i dont want destroy our foundation because we cannot forget that saliba x big gabi is one of the best cb partnership in world football especially saliba still young 24yo + experienced title race + experienced in so many highest level competition (premier league, ucl, national team)

This just sounds like something out of career mode though.

If we did sign Isak (almost defos not imo) you maybe get Zubimendi as well and that’s it.

I don't know the data, but every window there are lots of rumors about swap deals, do they happen at all? I can't remember one.

If you want to have max value out of Saliba, this is the year to make a move if he does not want to sign extension.

With the money we receive from Saliba, we can buy Rodrygo and Guler as they are expendable in RM eyes.

And there is still enough fund to buy Isak (if he is available) and Zubimendi.

People are really naive. If Saliba does not want to extend because he wants us to win things, he needs to go. Can you imagine Van Dijk saying that? I mean you are supposed to be World Class and lead the back line. Instead you doubt about not winning...

If he extends, all good, if he wants to wait, get him out.

And no selling Saliba is not sounding like rebuilding. If you sell Saliba and get Isak and/or Rodrygo in return, you have taken one step back and 2 steps ahead.

When I was watching the game against PSG, the best central defender on the field was Willian Pacho. A guy costing only €40m from Frankfurt ...

My point exactly proven. Van Dijk was one of the reasons they won. If we would have won anything, people would be naming Rice, Saka or Gabriel for the main reason. Saliba was okay but I would even say that Timber and Raya had a better season than Saliba.

Not to **** on Pacho unncessarily, but Saliba is a far better player Pacho does not even come close. The reason he was good was because our impotent attack made him look good

Again proven my point!

Attack is more important than defense. Last time Man Utd won the Premier league, they added a world class striker and the rest was history. Their defense was a 34 year old Ferdinand, a 32 year old Evra and Phil Jones, Evans, Smalling and Valencia ....

They conceded 43 goals, the 2nd (City) 34, 3rd (Chelsea) 39 and 4th (us) 37.

You need a quality defense as a foundation. We have the best in the Premier League. But it is your attack that wins you trophies.

Let's say that Isak becomes available and you can basically swap him with Saliba (Saliba to Real for the same amount as Isak to us), would you swap or not?

Or would you rather have Isak+Huijsen or Saliba+Gyökeres?

Arsenal Quotes

A team can attack for too long. The most opportune time for scoring is immediately after repelling an attack, because opponents are then strung out in the wrong half of the field. All the men are expected to play to plan, but not so as to stifle individuality
