So he's not ready to be a starter for us then....like I said.

I don't know what your argument is here . I didn't say he wanted to join us or should

The argument is I doubt he will join to be third choice

Unless Arteta suddenly starts rotating massively next season in the wake of all the hamstring tears Saliba and big Gabi are gonna be playing 80+ percent of the league minutes, not sure why he'd want to come

Yes i think the same would love him but this is it no reason to change the partnership which is the best in the world.

I think a right footed CB is a better fit for us if Kiwior goes.

Most can play at either RCB or LCB, and we’ve got Gabriel and Calafiori to cover LCB.

No way he comes to Arsenal though go sit on the bench.

Most of the time I've seen him play he was playing as the LCB! He is very good at passing with his left foot too. He might be cover for both Gabriel and Saliba. Real rotation option imo. Can fill in for either with no real drop in quality.

If Kiwior and Zini goes we should get him or Hato. But I doubt he'll want to come here to be a bench option vs Real because he's not going to start over Saliba or Gabriel.

Spending £50m on a lad who will want a pay rise and an easy route to Real Madrid seems like lunacy.

Leave him be. That's a transfer for a stepping-stone club like Sp**s.

What am I reading in this thread.

Listen, if you have the chance to sign a top CB prospect, whose price will instantly go up as soon as you sign them, its a no brainer.

Not to mention he's two footed so can play both sides.
believe he’s played most of the season in the LCB role?
Find it strange that we’re linked with him. I get that it’s apparently if Kiwior goes, however we’ve got Calafiori that’s expected to be Gabbys backup.
This rumour makes me wonder if the club are expecting a huge money offer for Gabby in the summer and Huijsen is the replacement?

Actually it's not because he's insurance in case of injury and leverage in contract negotiations with Gabriel and Saliba. Better to have a replacement who looks like he could get close to their level.

You then have a few scenarios that could play out. If one won't extend, he replaces them. If he outperforms one, he replaces them. If they both extend, you paid a release clause below what he'd be worth without the release clause and in a year or so you sell him to Madrid or whomever for more than you bought him for, bringing in some much-needed money for PSR.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
