Why do you hate him so much man?![]()
Some suggested Rice was better than some of the invincible midfielders, I think it went downhill from there.

28th damn.. shows you the abundance of world class players in the early 2000s. I don’t think Vieira was even on the list!Looked it up, he finished tied 28th alongside Maldini...Ayala and Mista also nominated that year.
Remember Mista, thought he was gonna be a star and then he pretty much disappeared after that elite year for him lol.

As good as he is in the big games, against smaller teams that we need to break down he can hamper us and it would be interesting to see a different profile in his position.
He obviously can't play the lone 6 like Zubi can, so that would mean dropping him, which Arteta is unlikely going to do.
Most elite teams through history have had watercarriers, players that were only decent that worked hard, some of the invincibles are in that bracket and it makes some fanboys cry
He made being a Rice hater cringe, even turned me into a fan.Why do you hate him so much man?![]()
It’s quite clear that there was some kind of correction or change of vision at some point during the building of our midfield. As good as he is in the big games, against smaller teams that we need to break down he can hamper us and it would be interesting to see a different profile in his position.

If we didn't show ambition and bring him he'd 100% go to Man City. so i'm thankful he didn't go there because partnership of Him and rodri is scary. If Rice was for sale every top club would be happy to take him PL especially.
Chelsea would take him back, MU without a doubt be a huge upgrade, MC 100% type player they are missing and yes Liverpool also.

Wouldn't it be better if he just passed to the right player?Rice is the last person we’ll need to worry about this season. For example, in today’s match, he passed the ball to the wrong player on our new ineffective corner play, and chased the ball down in our end 60 meters away.
He’ll do his job and more, don’t worry about that. He’ll be ready for the opener.
You can see... Double pivot Rice - Zubimendi... we will cook this season
