caicedo shin kicker will crumble if he has situation like declan rice (lose against city at etihad in title race)

he is part of big reason why chelsea get conceded a lot goals because as dm he failed to protected his backline, i will say he is defensive midfielder who cannot defend

i even saw a lot chelsea fans made excuse that caicedo drop his performance because exhausted and tired, lol look at this stats below from rice even after play a lot minutes but still keep consistent performance in ucl and premier league

The fact that some people on this forum were comparing them as recently as the fall is very funny to me. It's a happy week so I'm not going to cook anyone but there were actually people trying to suggest Caicedo was better on this forum. 😂

I kind of took their word for it that it must be close because I don't watch Chelsea. There's definitely agendas against his lack of guile. Off the ball he's the best in the world.

It was never close. People are just daft. The only thing Caicedo does better than Rice is get away with fouling.

What a man, what a player! I remember when people doubted if he can do "the Xhaka role".

2 years have passed, and Rice is "Rodri's level" now. It's not often one can say a 100 million player being value for money.

30.3.2024:
2,5 years younger than Rodri. I think Rice is faster and better defensively, but Rodri the superior passer, even if Rice is no slouch. Rodri is just insane how complete he is, and still not old.

I think in 2 years time Rice can be similar level, because he is a complete midfielder too, just very young still.

Rice is proper value for money.
He has contract until 2029 and has been top notch since he came, and is very durable. And he is the type that will be loyal, so will likely extend.

Rice isn't clear to the playmaker Rodri was at his peak or even now tbf. Not near the playmaker Xhaka is but best off the ball midfielder in the world.

How did the last 2 midfield battles go between Rice and Rodri?

I'm not talking about them being totally same players, even if both are complete midfielders. Even in my post it is explained what are some of the differences.

I doubt many predicted them being similar level in two years time (considering Rodri being the best in the world), but after this season those talks are normal.

Humble, lad, big game player & leader all rolled into one. I've always been a fan of his since his West Ham days and he only grew in my estimation when he chose a club with pedigree over one that was artificially inflated and where trophies were easier to come by for one that did things the right, and let's be honest, the hard way

Already a legend. Also, the fact it's annoying Chelsea fans makes it all the sweeter

Beyond the fact that he's a phenomenal player and leader for this club, he's also a great example to KSE that sometimes you really have to push the boat out financially to get a generational player who can take you to another level and what can feel like an eyewatering fee can pay you back tenfold.

I hope Rice serves as an impetus for them to continue to be willing to splash out for a real gamechanger if say a French general stationed in Madrid were to become available.

Winning silverware creates whole new generations of fans and with that, more revenue for the club and if you want to defend your silverware and add to it then you need to be able to make these sorts of signings when they're possible.

Arsenal Quotes

I knew we were very different, that he (Ferguson) had a total hold over his club while at that time I was still more of a coach. I also recognised his huge qualities. He knew how to surround himself with the right people and didn't rest on his laurels when he was successful.
