Declan Rice: Dent it like Declan

Macho

Thinks he's better than Havertz.

Honestly though what’s Havertz supposed to do there? Pass to feet with a defender on him, would need some sort of Bergkamp vs Newcastle magic.

I agree, I said exactly the same.

The pass was still worth doing as with Havertz trampoline touch in that high pressure situation the ball could have ricochet anywhere.

It wasn’t his touch though it was the defenders tackle, not even Henry or Suarez would do anything there it was a myth.

I wasn't criticising him necessarily i am saying the ball could have gone anywhere on the right day. The defender might have even hit it in Saka's path or something.

I think I better striker does more with that anyways, Havertz just kinda flails around.

Gunner come out of the closet any day now…

It was brilliant defending, but that doesn't mean the pass wasn't a good effort like @Macho said, the odds there for something good to happen were quite good, with very little risk as well given where the turnover happens.

Havertz could've done better but it would've been a tall ask given the defenders reaction. Could've attacked the ball more aggressively and chested it down instead of letting it drop to feet as an example.

Honestly it’s not that big a deal to go back and forth on it. Just shows how little we create that every chance becomes a debate, same with the Partey header.

You are just stubborn. Had that been Kanu the ball would have stuck to him and whist he's remembered fondly he's not renown as this world class player.

I was pleased to see Rice attempt that anyways, he has it in his locker and needs to be less shy.

What can’t he do? He’s incredible. Every game he’s so so consistent.

6 or 8 he’s top top and many fans take that for granted.

It was a hit and hope that amounted to nothing, people just want to take any chance to praise Rice.

Says Aesthetics Merchants, but really means Trilly
Rice's time at CB means he has a good range of long passing. It bodes well for a quick switch to the left after overloading on the right. Of course, that would only work if General Franco stopped using Rice like he's Özil. One of the biggest misuses I've seen from Arteta and it baffles me.
