As expected, reports of loads of clubs being in for him now.

He is a top tier midfielder and one of englands poster boys. Any of the big PL clubs would be silly not to be in for him.

If we get him it’s a huge, huge signing in terms of talent and squad improvement but also as a “statement” signing.

City don't need to win a PR battle if we beat them to a signing. They took the league from us. 😂
United didn’t need Vardy back then either, Mourinho just wanted to spite Arsenal which is what Pep might be doing.

I don't see why he'd spite us. Arteta is his friend. Mourinho actually hated Wenger.

Pep perhaps, but Boehly most definitely.

That **** knows how to do two things well in football. Set up a 443 formation and destroy club's transfer plans.

If we get this done, hope it’s done quickly and not the usual drawn out saga.

An early statement signing would be such a lift after a downer end to the season.

Pep has been taking subtle digs at Arsenal for weeks mocking the team.
That's just playing mind games with a young team. It probably worked. I don't think there's any actual malice towards Arsenal. There's no reason for there to be. It's not like Wenger vs Fergie or Mourinho where there's actual bad blood. The City players and him seem to look at us like little brothers more than some kind of mortal enemy or something.
