• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

So this just happened:

Zemplin Michalovce are sitting comfortably 6th in the Slovak League not too far off from EL/ECL qualification places (the ones where you need to play a bunch of preliminary rounds) but I don't see them pushing the current TOP 3/4 so it's definitely an interesting move from him carreer wise.

Mind, I don't know his level so he might just be after the big fish in a small pond kind of deal here.

The town of Michalovce is about an hour drive from where I live and they will also visit my local team after the winter break so I'll definitely keep an eye on the fixture list and will try to catch a game when he plays.

Football, eh?

Funny old game, football. Cottrell's a good technician but injuries really scuppered him, along with the fact that we seemingly had 0 plan in terms of a loan progression for him. Very much seemed like an afterthought, in the same way that Matt Smith & Catalin Cirjan did for quite a while until they turned 20. We've got to get more proactive with players like this, even if we don't think they'll make first team quality. Glad to see he's playing somewhere though, hopefully he can carve out a career as he's pretty talented. Hope a few of our other recent graduates can turn it around.

I've just seen that Kido Taylor-Hart still doesn't have a team after leaving this Summer and, considering he actually has decent technical ability himself and is no slouch physically, that's pretty disappointing to read (although he has had a fair few injuries himself). Hope he manages to find somewhere to play.

He showed great strength against a very strong Luton player. Used his physique very well to shield the ball and get the shot off.
Always had that ability. People thought he couldn't do that because he's little but that boy is an ox. Tough kid. Reckon this finally kickstarts his season in the Championship. Brighton have got a serious gem. He'll be playing PL football next season.
