3 ex Arsenal academy players made their champions league debuts last night. Joao Virginia for Sporting plus Kostas Pileas and Vlad Dragomir for Pafos.

Rosiak came off the bench and scored a late winner on his professional debut. Another youngster who we could of developed and got a decent fee for, but instead let go for nothing.

Once a player establishes themselves at u23 level, the focus should be getting them on loan immediately to begin developing themselves and any potential sell on value but we just seem incapable of doing that.

This is an outrage. There is billions and billions in the game and this sort of tragic accident simply shouldn't be possible.

Jesus Christ that's horrific. Did he die on the pitch? I don't think I've ever heard of a player die on the pitch from anything other than heart condition. What could have possible caused such a severe head trauma during a game?

Edit: Some say he hit his head on a concrete wall close to the pitch. That sounds like a terrible idea to have.

Wingate and Finchley is the local club I go to. The ground is awful with the car park entrance between the pitch and the only seated stand.

I’ve heard he hit his head on a concrete wall on the other side of the pitch from the main stand trying to stop the ball going out.

There’s a concrete wall the whole way round the pitch which is a legacy from a different time. It’s not super close to the pitch but it’s not far enough away either.

The ground has needed improvement for years and it’s crazy that it’s cost this poor kid his life.

Hopefully this leads to concrete walls like these being removed from all grounds. Poor lad, it's heartbreaking that this happened to him.
