Would this guy start for us? No, meaning his development and growth instantly gets stunted. He looks good, looks like a flair player but also looks like he doesn’t know when to NOT use that flair attribute.

I’d be happy to sign him, but I’d also be loaning him back immediately for a year or two.

Yep this guy is my number 1 pick. He’s not a level raiser but he has the ability to become a world class player, and could easily start contributing in his first season.

Unfortunately there’s not many options on the market for level raisers in our attack this summer. The likes of Rashford and Leao would require £100m+ as well as £300k+ wages. Even though the upside is big, those kind of signings could peg us back if they don’t work out.

Kavaratskelia I have a soft spot for so wouldn’t mind him, but otherwise I think we should be kicking the can down the road when it comes to elevating our attack. There’s a level raising CM available in Bruno so go sign him.

I’d much rather protect our future with a signing like Doue over signing an expensive attacker for the sake of it. The only other player out there I would be content with is Williams, but as you say the wages are big and the fee will be £50m+. That’s a big signing also and takes up an ‘expensive player + wages’ spot in the side. I wouldn’t mind him at all but I say sign this guy and re-evaluate a level raising attacker for next summer.

Yeah. All those players are way too expensive overall when there is Martinelli plus Trossard and Jesus. It's much better to buy a young top prospect who can contribute some already and adjust to the team.

Doue looks like someone as a teenager, that even if he doesn't quite make it, someone will take a punt so it's possible to regain much of the fee.

It's like a first draft pick in NHL, for the future. Use the money where it's really needed.

A loan back is also what I was thinking makes sense. We have good precedence with Saliba’s initial loan. Then if it makes sense to invest in the future or funds are better spent on the team that’s going to compete here and now is another question. Real fine balance there

It's fairly simple to me. Nelson will certainly leave and should bring some instant profit as own youth. Buy this guy to take his place. Shouldn't be expensive for FFP for the first year in this way.

Keep Trossard and Jesus for another year, and buy another striker talent. This way Jesus can be the "new winger", if he hopefully stays fit more. Doue looks like he can contribute some if needed.

There's no sense to sell Jesus for peanuts after his injury-ridden seasons, and he doesn't even want to leave. Trossard has to also stay when he is so dangerous. The year after one can estimate the situation and get a top winger if needed.

Yeah it’s impossible to do two things at the same time. Poor Edu. How can he improve this team while buying one of the best young talents in Europe

Guler was €20m you dent. Doue is being quoted in the €65m+ range, it's a completely different type of outlay that limits what you can do elsewhere transfer wise.

Doue is 40 million euros and has double the experience in much better league. The league that over the years has biggest success players in the PL. this is as sure of 18 year old talent you can buy. Almost impossible to find someone with his experience at 18

I was thinking about this as well. In comps he moves like a winger. But he appears to be a 8/10 hybrid based on where he's played.

On the face of it I'd take him here as a winger. Basically our LW "Saka". But if it's LCM I think I'd rather give the minutes to Nwaneri for the future, or try to sign Xavi Simons who'd have more impact here and now while still having a lot of potential for the future.

No he isn't. Interest has ramped up and they've rejected several bids and are now saying they're demanding a club record fee, which is €60m+. The latest figures I've seen is €70m. You're quoting old numbers, every top club in the world is after him now.

They indicated they won't let him go for less than Doku did and that was £56m.
