starting to suspect Emery doesn't think our fullbacks fit his scheme, and/or Bellerin might be off

that would explain why Lichtenstein was brought in quickly

at PSG Alves played a really big role in possession

Özil at 10 And Emery Out
I read what you wrote. It still makes no sense. If Arsenal sells Nacho AND Kolasinac, they are left with 0 left backs and would need to buy 2. The rest of the math I already explained. They need 2. Sidibe is 1. So it doesn't really matter if you sell Bellerin OR Nacho OR Kolasinac. Sidibe could replace any 1 of them. But he couldn't replace 2.
That’s when you sign a lichsteiner type player for a couple of millions (or free) or look at the academy for an inside solution as a back up to your big money RB at LB signing
My entire point is, if you haven’t realized by now, that we should focus on other positions atm. Not that difficult to understand

Nah, Lichtsteiner was brought in to add leadership and title-winning experience. Same reason he brought Dani Alves to PSG.

Got nothing to do with Bellerin, other than that he needed a back-up to push him.

Bellerin has had to play nearly every game the past two seasons. And his performances have suffered as a result. Lich was definitely brought in to give Bellerin the odd breather and some competition as you said. Of course the leadership and experience is good too.

As for the earlier debate in this thread, if Monreal leaves we have only have Kola at LB (maybe AMN if you count him). Kola hasn't exactly been 100% convincing at LB either.
Sidibe would be our Monreal replacement. He's not the first fullback to be comfortable on both sides ( Look at Lahm, Azpilicueta, De Sciglio etc).
