Does Wenger deserve a statue at the Emirates?

Wonder if he even want one. Already got a bust in stadium & the unbeaten trophy awarded to him.

I would like to see some new statues of players be it old ones or in the modern era. Vieira stands out as missing. Wright would be pretty cool as he would be over the moon.

Maybe a Medusa like one for Nasri / RVP / Cesc.

If Michael Jackson can get a statue at Fulham, Arsène deserves one for Arsenal.

The Arsène Charles Ernest Wenger Stadium

I was an Arsenal fan long way before we signed him but there is no doubt he changed the face of English football. He was the first. It was all him.
His legacy is not only Arsenal based. It is English football-based.

Boring Arsenal became a team that everyone wanted to watch. Up until 5-6 years ago despite not winning much we were the entertainers and the team everyone wanted to play like. We had the ability to give everyone the dance they came for and provide all others with the secrets to treating your lover right, and seduce them over-and-over again.

Last few years our football have been like a vaginal dryness, thinner and less elastic. It led to itching, burning, and painful moments. However even in those years we won two voluptuous FA cups.

It was time for him to go, in the end his greatest strength - his loyalty and belief in those around him - ended up also being his undoing. Players and staff members alike who should have be shown the door a while back were given unwavering loyalty by Arsène Wenger. Could have had a successful career in the Corsican mafia. He had a loyal staff around him and his inner circle didn't change much. Probably explains why we kept making the same mistakes again and again. Our own Paul Carbone.

I'd say Herbert Chapman still remains numero uno in terms of overall impact at the club and football. His application to his role ultimately contributed to him losing his life, but his legacy on the pitch (the 'WM") was to last until the early 1950s in The Game of the Century against the Magical Magyars and it's return fixture.

Statue and a stand named after him is the least he deserves. Our greatest ever manager and always a credit to both Arsenal and football in general.

Unlike Arsenal fans with Arsène, Fulham fans never told Jackson to beat it though.

Been thinking about this in recent days, why not now? Don’t want to get dark but we should celebrate people while they are around to appreciate it.

It’s not “if” also, it’s “when”. For me also you have to honour Patrick Vieira, our success coincided with his reign at the club you can say, the captain of the invincible team, heartbeat of every arsenal team he played in.

There were people at the club who had a connection to Adams though. I wonder now who is around that cares enough or has an interest in driving forward a Wenger statue project, the shot callers like Vinai or Raul have no connection to the boss.

You are probably relying on Stan and Josh to do it off their own back.

If it wasn't for Arteta being our manager at the moment I would say he deserve to get his job back.

Biggest mistake in history of the club sacking him.

Someone needs to start that thread. 100% Wenger would’ve got CL last year.

Wenger would have moonwalked into top4 last year.

But people wanted to play defensive, uninspiring and terrible football and lose instead of being competitive. So people got what they wanted in the end.

Let's be honest there's no debate about a statue. There's some debate about the Stadium being named after him. But let's be brutally honest here the club should just be renamed Arsène Football Club.

Imagine Wenger with Auba for a full season, heck Mkhitaryan was playing quite well in our EL run while Wenger was there. Who knows what we could've accomplished. He wouldn't have tried to push out Özil and Ramsey either!

He obviously deserves a statue. The better question is what pose/moment should they cast in bronze?

Top 4 is not a trophy, stop with all this top 4 ****. Wenger and the board have got numpties like you brainwashed into accepting this and that's how he kept his job for so long.

Who doesn’t know it’s not a trophy? It’s a CL place and that’s considered a relatively decent season in this modern era. Beyond Wenger and Arsenal, top 4 is a thing now.

He kept his job for long because those (top 4) were the demands put by the owners, under Kroenke none of our managers have been backed to compete for titles.

It's not only Wenger. You see Mourinho talk about it. Pochette talk about it. Every manager that doesn't compete for the title look at getting top4 and its biggest achievement of the season. It's bigger than the winning cup competitions for the top6 teams.
