Right but until Kos is back (and our league season could effectively be over by then) we only have two senior centre-backs, neither of whom are top class. If one of them gets injured we then have to play Holding or Mavro, both of whom are still very much developing and they will 100% make mistakes.

This is not how you earn Champions League football. At this point Vida would be a decent option to add some experience, but overall you've got to say we've f*cked up this task of fixing the central defence this summer. We knew it was a problem area and we surely could have done a better job at addressing it than we have done.
