70m is what we paid for Pepe. A player who was about 3 years older and similarly had 1.5-2 decent years in a weaker league.
At the end of the day it isn't the fans money. If it works out brilliant. If not no good but we have to strike now. If he continues his form and develops further he will be out of our reach.
Get it done and get Tielemans in while we are at it. 120m well spent.

It wouldn't be an Arsenal transfer if it wasn't.
they are both terrible, I dont think the fees will be an issue its more about convincing the player and his agent to join us who are most likely either waiting till the end of the window to see who else comes in for him or will wait till the summer to see if clubs in the CL will go for him.
