What do you do when everytime you're playing better than the other team you still can't score?
Answer: Sign a striker like Vlahovic. Forget his short knees or whatever bullshit people use to say we shouldn't sign this guy. We need someone who can consistently bury opportunities.
If he doesn't want to come, then lets look at Schick or Nunez etc...

Imagine if they don’t sign a striker this window as this guy clearly don’t want to come. It’s neglect not to address the striker situation. Surely they can’t say they couldn’t find a better striker than Laca and nketiah this window

What in the name of baby Jebus are ‘short knees’?

We'll have nothing this window and probably miss out on top 4

They are genuinely playing with fire. Arteta talked about the squad being thin. It's thin because he only trusts 14 players. He talked about needing a squad of 22.

Yes we are letting players go, but he literally doesn't trust or use them.

Kola - gone
AMN - gone
Mari - gone
Elneny
Auba
Pepe
Cedric
Chambers
Holding
Leno - going

Imagine for every one of those players, we had a player Arteta trusted.

He either doesn't trust them or he reluctantly uses them. However, fixing your squad in January while you are fighting for top four is a huge risk.

Sign Vlahovic and Arthur and it is a massive boost. Fail to get a striker or midfielder and we are probably fighting for 6th.

My worry is if we can't get top 4 now having had no Europe, and out of all cups from the position we are in now we won't get close playing in the EL next year. More games, more demands, less preparation for the league.

Missing out on CL would not be bad for us. We only want to go there for the money by doing bare minimum. Until we can build an actual squad we don’t deserve to be there

Why do you even follow Arsenal then if you think we don’t deserve to succeed?

We are in this position every fvcking January being in desperate situation. We are not a serious club when it comes to building a squad that last the season. We have 3 strikers with 2 having less than 6 months left on their contract and third one banished. I mean the whole thing is a joke when you look at it objectively

Werid transfer window thus far. Got rid of the flotsam but yet to add the replacements and reinforcements we so obviously need as evidenced last night.

And now Meatloaf has died.

Depressing week.

I agree, and Pepe is the player that sums that all up in a nutshell. Massive signing, but only shown glimpses of what he can do, & Arteta has gradually used him less & less that he's no longer really an option for us as he's lost all trust of the manager.

So now we are down to 1 forward that he currently trusts and he's due to leave in the summer and wasn't even first choice first half of the season, and 4 attacking player behind that for 3 positions, which means if we get injuries or players are off form we struggle. We all know we need strikers, but we need a 5th option Pepe replacement as well, someone like a fully fit Pedro Neto that can play both sides would be a good asset for this squad.

Same in midfield when Xhaka or Partey are out. We could probabily do with 2 midfielders, not just 1, unless somehow someone like Azeez comes in to miraculously stake a claim. Goes to show how much work still needs to be done. He knows it as well, he spoke about being in a place where we need to maximise every window, because if we don't, we put more pressure on the next 1.

Because of my reasons above, I sort of agree with this. Our squad will be so young & inexperienced, Champions League would be a big step, from never playing European football to straight into the top competition for some of the lads. A Europa League campaign could be a good next step, while also allowing us to play guys like Saliba, Lokonga, Azeez & Balogun and get them good game time and more experienced.

Of course, the downside of that is less money and a situation where we might lose out on top targets due to lack of Champions League football. And also that if we aren't 4th chances are it will be Sp**s who arez who we don't want Conte especially to gain momentum with.

And at the same time, Arteta plays Partey every week who was much worse so far in his Arsenal career while being a massive signing as well. Arteta is a weirdo and it has nothing to do with what players do on the pitch

We have more than enough youngsters. We need to buy players between 24-27 and add ready made players in there
