Yup, I watch this clip and cry a little inside knowing that had he even come on at HT I think we get a goal and win the game or at worst get a 1-1.
Sadly you are not the manager. Idk what kind of terrorist would think Nelly should play more minutes than him at one of the most important games of the season. More if you consider how excellent form he is and recently he won FA cup against city.

Interesting that his first performance for Arsenal came off the left, despite the club briefing all summer they primarily see him as a 10.
I think we’re gearing up for a big LW signing next summer and that’s when Eze will be viewed as more of a 10 option.

Maybe Rodrygo but my theory is that we might go for Leao based on @Clrnc ‘s insider knowledge, the little whispers we had this summer, his contract situation and how active he is when it comes to Arsenal players on social media.

Kai probably gets sold next summer too which further solidifies Eze as a 10 for us.

Leao's contract expires in 2028.
What about his contract situation?

Two years before a player’s contract expires is pretty much when a well run-club will decide on extending or selling a player if they want to get maximum value.

It’s why this summer will be very interesting for us with Havertz.

Wow, interesting, I must have missed the @Clrnc bomba. A top level LW would be the cherry on the cake. Knowing Arsenal, and how much they’ve spent this summer though, I can’t see it unless there are some significant sales (Kai, Martinelli, Saliba ect).

Kai + Martinelli should fetch ~80M. If that happens we'd need to get another striker for sure.

Isn't Kai on like £250,000 a week?

He has leaving on a free written all over him, tbh.

Not so sure about that. Kai on 280k pw, Martinelli on 180k pw.

No one touching then on those wages unfortunately.

We never sell these players at the right time either, always hang into them for a year or two longer than we should which makes selling even harder.

I'm using 40M each, perhaps you're right. There was reported interest in Martinelli at that price point which is what I'm using as a reference point. The hope is that Bayern would come in for Havertz.

If he continues to play badly and gets another year of his deal, that price will go down again.

Bayern would get Kai from Chelsea for about £100 million, for us it be better a straight swap with Nicolas Jackson...and us paying a fee to Chelsea in some way.

I told you so
Tick tock... when the story arc gets boring, the people will see what I have been saying all summer. Good squad player, nothing more. Ultimately, more wasted funds.

The English codified the rules of football just as the French perfected wine. We don't often ask an English person to come over to make Bordeaux.
