• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

Half a season to get going? Wouldn't you say that's nowhere near good enough for a club like Arsenal? A player who's now in their prime, cost around 68M then needs half a season or so just to wake up and may or may not get going? I don't know about you or anyone else but for me that's definitely not good enough.

Arteta bought him and he's know all about what I just described . Either he wants him just for his mercurial ability to impact games out of nothing off the bench when everyone is fit or he think that Eze got a much higher ceiling. I'm not worried about his price , this is how big clubs behave , they cover all bases. Let's keep in mind that we are playing some of our best football with him and Gyokeres in the team .

I'm usually on the pessimistic side, but in this case I don't think there's anything wrong with him

He's gradually improved his tactical understanding of the RCM role, to the point where he's functioning well as "a cog in the machine" (good description above) vs. previously being a liability outside the final third

And it's not even his best position anyway

And the entire team is gassed

He will reach a higher level eventually

I told you so
My position remains that Ødegaard belongs to an era of Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko. I believe we have grown beyond Ødegaard and his brand of embellishing, going nowhere soccer.

They are so desperate for Foden to be not useless for England aren't they lol.

Phil will be on the bench in every game that matters for England at the World Cup if they want to actually try and win it.

even morgan rogers better at 10 than foden

I have been very impressed with Rogers for England. He has been really really good for them.

As for Eze, I think there's been a bit of an expectation gap with him playing in Ødegaard's role. He isn't going to be the high touch player that Ødegaard is but he doesn't need to be. We brought him in to be a maverick and difference maker in tight games and to that end, he's already won us 4 points with a clutch assist for Martinelli + the GWG vs Palace. Without him we would have lost to City and maybe even drawn vs Palace.

That being said, I think his position for us should be nominally on the LW with license to drift in centrally.

Lmao, I’ve just seen the discourse from the media about his goal.

Pheel Fodence plays a simple 10 yard pass to Ebs who bends it in the tops bins and Pheel is the one that gets all of the credit 😂😂
