I told you so
With Eze moving out to LW just so Ode is accommodated straight back to the starting lineup, we lost directness and that unpredictability in our attack.

I don't understand why did we have to change a winning and highly performing formula, yet, we've seen those issues at our home match vs. Brentford too. But yesterday Eze couldn't assert any influence from the wing and had probably his lowest rated performance so far.

You call it a winning and highly performing formula, but it didn't work vs Sunderland, or Chelsea. We played well in two games, Sp**s and Bayern, guess what, games where we had more space. In those games, despite Eze contributing in terms of G/A, it was Rice and Zubi dominating the games, over the last few, they've look jaded, its not as simple as Odegaards in so we've lost points.

He offers nothing.... until he does.
Don’t think there’s anything wrong with that though. Every squad needs a few because you’ll always have a chance with guys like Eze and Trossard on the pitch.

Also I know you’re bored of hearing me say it but let’s give the guy more than half a season?

Same Trossard who is our attacker of the season so far was wanted sold by 90% of us, that should be a lesson.

We easily dominated Sunderland, the way we easily passed another gear when they opened up the score, but then sadly Arteta subbed out Eze...
We just look like we have more gears in us with Eze. With Ødegaard we feels like we have to control everything because we know that if the other team open up the score, we will be even more predictable.

Maybe because of the early kickoff, they werent able to their customary prayer session properly and so had an off day.

A front 4 of ezez gyok saka trossard with rice and zubi/merino sitting should have been able to do the job. I totally blame Mikel for this. Bad tactics, bad squad management and bad decision making.

He just cant go for the kill or take risks. This nonstop pressing duel type stuff is also grinding down our players as I bet the trainings are equally manic

If Eze doesn’t have a role more strictly in attack, what was the point of bringing him in?

We do not need three dedicated controlling midfielders. We need someone right behind the forward who can make things happen.

The fact that Ødegaard played well and we only scored one goal and lost the match speaks volumes.

Eze played vs 10 man Chelsea and we scored 1. Does that speak volumes?

Difference is Trossard you notice, Trossard gets on the ball, Torssard works hard off the ball, Trossard can hold off defenders.

Difference is Trossard has been here like three years.

Every time you rag on Eze I’m going to remind you that he’s a new player who deserves time, if anything he’s doing exceptionally well for a new signing in a very complex system. Look how badly Kai started?

We can just keep doing this

I don’t understand any of the hate towards Eze. The guy is one of our most productive players and single handedly won us games this year already. He’s played exactly how everyone said he would.

Unfortunately @Heavy Duty Rom just wants to sit sweating behind his keyboard posting ‘I told you so’. That’s his thing now, it’s all his posting consists of currently.

When Eze first started playing here on the left and was ineffective everyone on here was calling for him to be the 10 instead. He got moved there and bar the hat trick against Sp**s he was anonymous the other games at 10. everyone was then, as they always do cause they're sheep, making excused for him again saying he needs to be back on the left. So now he's on the left and anonymous again...makes you wonder.

Cos HeavyDutyTape has been receiving pelters for his overly negative opinions on our transfer dealings, and now we are in a rough spot he feels vindicated to voice his concerns. Once we get out of this rut and back to winning ways, people will tag him and let him know how wrong he is, and will be forced to say “fairs”, or “I hold my hands up”. The truth is, despite Eze’s poor form, he knows that Eze spells the end of Ødegaard for the benefit of the team. Not because Eze is better than Ødegaard, but because of how he interprets the 10 position.

If we win the league then everyone can clap themselves on the back and celebrate the signings but winning some games is not a vindication of anyone.

Show me where I've said I told you so you little weasel? I know the game has passed you by now, but all i've given is analysis. My only interest is The Arsenal.

My issue is people have taken two games and run with the narrative that Ødegaard holds us back, Eze is the play. Completely ignoring the other games where we struggled to score. Ignoring Chelsea, where vs 10 men, Eze was a ghost. Even vs Sp**s, until his goal, our second btw, (because people seem to think he won that game on his own), he was dreadful. Similar vs Bayern, he was quite, and then came up with the pass, so people forget he did little else. All this is well and good while he adds a G/A to a game, but what happens when he doesn't? He's a passenger, we've got rid of better players than Eze for a lack of workrate.

People take that Villa game, a game at the end of a tough week, a game where we were missing our two CBs, a game where Rice and Zubimendi, our platform to play and dominate games, were visibly exhausted, and are using it as a stick to push the Eze central, Ødegaard bench agenda.

All I'm asking for is lets wait and see, we need a bigger sample scale. If Ødegaard keep nullifying Zubi impact, then yes, change is needed, but that change isn't Eze for me, he's not at the level, this is where my boy Rogers would have worked. The new dream is Yildiz.
